Di Negara berkembang seperti Indonesia, diare merupakan salah
satu penyakit penyebab kematian balita. 6 juta anak setiap tahunnya di dunia
meninggal akibat diare. Diare adalah suatu kondisi dimana seseorang buang
air besar dengan konsistensi lembek atau cair bahkan dapat berupa air saja
dan frekuensinya lebih sering, biasanya sehari 3 kali atau lebih. untuk di
daerah Bali, prevalensi kejadian diare pada balita sebesar 5,5% dengan
rentang 4,0%-5,0%.Diare biasanya terjadi karena factor bakteri yang masuk
ke dalam tubuh dan merusak saluran pencernaan. Kekurangan gizi dan alergi
terhadap susu atau pemberian ASI juga bisa menyebabkan diare.
Hasil penelitian dari 50 responden di wilayah kerja Puskesmas 2
Denpasar Selatan, Provinsi Bali dapat disimpulkan :Ada hubungan antara
status gizi dengan kejadian diare pada balita usia 1-3 tahun di Puskesmas 2
Denpasar Selatan, Provinsi Bali. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji ChiSquare Test diperoleh nilai Sig. = 0,000 (< 0,05). Dan adanya hubungan
antara pemberian ASI Eksklusif dengan kejadian diare pada balita usia 1-3
tahun di Puskesmas 2 Denpasar Selatan, Provinsi Bali. Hal ini dibuktikan
dengan hasil uji Chi-Square Test diperoleh nilai Sig. = 0,012
(< 0,05)

In developing countries such as Indonesia, diarrhea is one of the

leading causes of infant mortality. 6 million children in the world die each
year from diarrhea. Diarrhea is a condition where a person's bowel
movements with the consistency of soft or even liquid can be water alone and
frequency more often, usually 3 times a day or more. for in the area of Bali,
the prevalence of diarrhea in children under five at 5.5% with a range of 4.0%
-5.0% .Diare usually occurs because the factor bacteria that enter the body
and damage the digestive tract. Lack of nutrition and allergies to milk or
breast-feeding can also cause diarrhea.The results of the 50 respondents in
Puskesmas 2 South Denpasar, Bali Province concluded: There is a
relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in
children aged 1-3 years in Puskesmas 2 South Denpasar, Bali Province. This
is evidenced by the test results obtained by Chi-Square Test Sig. = 0.000
(<0.05). And the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding by the
incidence of diarrhea in children aged 1-3 years in Puskesmas 2 South
Denpasar, Bali Province. This is evidenced by the test results obtained by
