coherencebetweenhisuseofironyandthespeakersdepthofperceptiontowardshislove.
WilliamShakespearesconductofbitterimageryaboutthespeakertowardstheiraudienceis
pronouncedaslovewitharousingdiction.Shakespeareslackofeuphemismutterstheintensity
ofhisemotionalmindsetwhenstating,compounded,rehearse,anddecay.Thespeakeris
implyingsheshouldfeelinjectedwithguiltwhenheisintheground,buttellshertoreleaseher
thoughtofhimwithagentleforbearance.Theeffectofalliterationinthebeginninglinessurly
sullenbells,emphasizehisendorsementthathisloveshouldrepealhisdemise.Thestaccato
dictionofthebellsareasymboltohislovethatheisneardeathandhesreprimandingherfor
beingoblivioustowardshislove.Thedramatizingconsonanceinlinefourvile,andvilest,
intendaloathingfortheworldwhenhewillbegone.
Hedespisestheworldsactionsasthepeoplewillonlyshowfalseconsiderationin
mourning,however,hedoesnotwanthislovetofallintothatstateofwoewhenhetellsherto
notrehearsehisnameinthenearconcludinglines.Inresolution,thepoetjustifieshedoesnt
wanthislovetomournhim,however,sheshouldrealizeshecouldhavehadalovewholoved
herbackifshetooknoticetohim.Hewantshertoinformtheworldofhisdeath,however,he
wantstostrengthenheremotionally,insistingtheforgingconsentshouldnotbetakenofher,
sincetherearealreadyexcessiveothers.Thepoetalmosthumorshimselfthatheisalmostin

theground,andheknowshislovewillpityhim,butheilluminateshesexperiencingdeathand
hislovewillbetheonewhocopesforhewastheonemourninghislifewhilstshedisregarded
him.Furthermore,hedeignsonthereflectionofhismemoirtohisbelovedeventhoughbehind
hisblindportrayal,hisrealizationofdeathobliteratesherfiguretorevealanordinarybeing
whomdoesnotreciprocatelove.Theconcludingbreathsthespeakertakescorrelatetothe
beginningbreathshislovewillreceivewhenbroughtawarenessofhisepitomicalaffection.
