Welcome Back!
I
hope
that
all
of
your
families
enjoyed
the
break!
Its
been
a
great
9irst
week
back
as
students
and
staff
have
all
settled
back
into
routines.
We
look
forward
to
this
stretch
of
time
when
so
much
academic
growth
takes
place.
M-Step
Parent
Reports
Coming
home
Today
Today,
our
4th
and
5th
grade
students
will
be
bringing
home
a
Parent
Report
from
the
Spring
2015
M-Step.
The
information
contained
in
letter
will
give
you
a
snapshot
of
how
your
child
performed
on
the
test
in
his/her
previous
grade.
Our
staff
is
extremely
proud
of
the
effort
and
time
commitment
our
students
put
forth
during
those
testing
weeks.
It
is
important
to
note
that
M-Step
scores
cannot
be
compared
to
those
on
the
MEAP
due
to
the
change
in
standards,
the
depth
of
knowledge
required,
and
the
mode
of
administration
(online
vs
paper/
pencil).
As
a
result
of
these
signi9icant
changes,
the
2014-15
scores
will
not
be
used
for
state
accountability,
rather
they
will
serve
as
a
new
baseline.
As
a
district,
and
as
a
building,
Brian Field
