Super Saturday for May:
This is the last Super Saturday for this year.
Susan Hayden will teach the Chenille Runner. Here are the materials needed.
3 pieces of print fabric - repeats approx 24" x width of fabric ( large print works best)
1 piece of backing 26" X WOF ( a solid that coordinates with the print)
1 piece of backing 28" x WOF ( this can be the print fabric or the solid)
Other supplies:
1 piece of batting 28" x 44"
thread to coordinate with your print and backing
chenille cutter if you have one - I have one and so do a few other people and we can share
them on Super Saturday.

Sunshine Committee: Two Get Well cards were sent, one to Doreen Antworth and one to
Marilyn Dykeman, both of whom have recently had surgeries.
Program Committee: By the time of May meeting, our quilt show will be over and you have
lots of time for new adventures, so continue to work on your Fabric Challenge that is due at
June meeting. We hope you are enjoying the challenge fabric. Have fun, take a deep breath,
and make a project that brings you joy! If you need inspiration, look thru all your quilting
magazines and books, take a little bit of this and that and combine them, look thru your
patterns and Ufos, look up art fibre quilts on the internet if thats your muse, or bags or
wallhangings or quilt embellishing. Look thru the guild library books at the meeting, maybe
something will trigger an idea there.
Jelly Roll Lotto: this month brings strips of those wonderful 1930s reproduction prints.
Janet Wright will be accepting them this month at the program table.
Program this month will be bringing you information on easy applique methods.
A great little site with easy applique for fabric or wool! www.weefolkart.com/content/freeapplique-patterns
