Introduction:
Colors are the first thing we see...
they make things stand out and define them
make things prettier
people even have their own favorites
BUT theres more to color than you think.
Colors have a large impact on the way we perceive the world around us
First, Your Senses and Perception
Second, Your Attitude and Feeling
Third, Your View of Someone
My First point is
Body:
Perception
-how the colors are visually different, blue vs red wall
--colour affects
Blue objects do not appear to be as close to us as red ones. [Red] [b]eing the longest wavelength it has
the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first
2. characteristics
-jello (colors and tastes)
They wore pink jumpsuits and pink slippers, and one was wrapped in pink
sheets. They were surrounded by pink bars and pink walls.
They were not comfortable.
The jumpsuits are to keep inmates from coming back to jail, and the pink walls
are designed to keep tempers and emotions cool in a jail that is tiny by today's
standards
and it's a success.
III. Third major point
Colors impact the way you view someone
1. How we see others [visuals]
The first thing we see
2. blue vs red boxer (imagine you have the option)
red vs white dress
black suit vs a yellow suit (cultural as well)
3. based on how we see and feel about colors
connotations
Conclusion
I. colors effect your perception and senses
colors have a large impact on your attitude and how you feel
colors effect the way you see and perceive others
II. Colors have a large impact on the way we perceive the world around us
III. Memorable message... now when you look at colors try to actually think about how it's impacting you.
