Stellen Sie den Plattenspieler nicht auf eine geneigte Oberf lche, da
es sonst durch unausgewogene Rillenolge der Nadel zu einer Verschlechterung der Gesamtleistung kommt. Achten Sie darauf,
daB die Oberlche einer Schallplatte, wenn sie auf dem Plattenteller
liegt, genau horizontal ist.
Die Oberflche des Gehuses ist in einem Spezialverfahren behandelt
worden. Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung einen weichen Lappen.
Fieinigen Sie die Oberflche tii starker Verschmutzung sanft mit
einem mit verdi.inntem Reinigungsmittel und Wasser angeeuchteten

Should you experience howling, place the turntable still farther away
from the speakers, use separate bases or the turntable and the speakers,
erect an acoustic shield between speakers and the turntable, and/or
reduce the volume level.
Dust and dirt are the major obstacles to noise-ree record reproduction.

With a screwdriver, remove the two shipping screws together with the
red cardboards. Keep them for possible uture use; re-ship the unit only
after re-securing the parts as originally shipped.

To mount the drive belt and the platter:
'1. Set the speed selector lever to the 45 position.
2. Mount the platter on the center spindle, pressing the drive belt to
the outer rim of the platter with your thumb.
3. Pass the drive belt between the two arms of the belt guide and hook
it around the upper step o the capstan.
4. Place the rubber mat on the platter.
o When handling the drive belt, be careul not to stain it with oil or

Schieben Sie das Hauptgewicht auf den Gewichtschaft des Tonarms und

Vor der Einstellung der Auflagekraft miissen Sie den Tonarm per{ekt
waagerecht ausbalancieren, um eine Auflagekraft von Null Gramm zu
erreichen. Verfahren Sie hierfLir wie folgt.
1. Entfernen Sie den Nadelschutz.
2. Ziehen Sie den Armhubhebel nach unten.
3. Drehen Sie den Vorspannungsknop so daB die "O" Markierung
gegentiber dem roten lndexpunkt auf dem Ring steht.
4. Halten Sie den Tonarmkopf am Griff und bringen Sie ihn wie in der
Abbildung gezeigt in die Mitte zwischen Tonarmablage und Mitt|.

galement des dommages irrparables aux disques.
Ne jamais essayer d'immobiliser ou de freiner le plateau la main
lorsqLr'il est en fonction; utiliser le levier slecteur de vitesse et
attendre que le plateau s'arrite seul.

Check that tracking'force, skating orce and other adjustments have
been properly made,
Pay special attention when handling the turntable and your records.
Rough handling may result not only in shortened life o the
turntable but also in severe record damage.
Never attempt to halt platter rotation by hand; operte the speed
selector lever and wait until the platter coasts to a stop.
Dust and dirt on the record surface are major causes of irritating
noises. Clean each record's surace carefully with a quality record
cleaner beore playi ng.

Placer en premier lieu le disque choisi sur le plateau puis effectuer les
oprations suivantes:
1. Tourner le levier slecteur de vitesse sur 33 ou 4b, selon la vitesse du
disque que l'on va passer. Le plateau se met alors tourner.
2. Enlever le bras acoustique de son support et le dplacer de aqon
que la pointe de lecture soit directement audessus du passage du
disque que l'on dsire entendre.
3. Tirer sur le levier lvateur du bras doucement vers soi. Le bras
acoustique descendra alors sur la surface du disque et l,coute
commencera.
4. Ajuster les boutons de rglage de votre amplif icateur ou rcpteur
pour obtenir la tonalit et le volume suivant les prfrences.

Place the record of your choice on the platter first and then undertake
the following operations.
1. Turn the speed selector lever or 33 or 45, depending on thespeed
o the record you are about to play. Then the platter starts rotating.
2. Remove the tonearm rom its rest and move it so that the stylus is
directly above the selection on the record you wish to hear.
3. Pull the arm liter lever gently toward you. Then the tonearm will
descend on the platter surace and start play.
4. Adjust the controls on your ar:nplifier or receiver to obtain the tone
and volume to your taste.
To skip a portion in the record on the platter, pull the arm lifter lever,
move the tonearm to the portion you want to play and then pull down
the arm lifter lever. To stop record play, pull the arm lifter lwer up,
return the tonearm to its rest and turn the speed selector level to the
OFF position.

Connect the leads of the headshell to their respective pin plugs in the
r:artridge. The leads are color-coded as shown in the illustration. For
{;orrect connections, you should also reer to the instruction book
supplied with the cartridge. Mount the cartridge on the headshell and

Celle-ci est ncessaire une fois tous les trois mois (ou aprs 200 heures
environ) en moyenne. Utiliser l'huile ournie.
Pour lubrifier, enlever le disque et la courroie d'entranement, tirer
l'axe du disque en avant;verser ensuite deux ou trois gouttes d'huile sur
l'axe et dans l'orif ice huile pour le moteur.
Faire attention de ne pas tacher d'huile le cabestan. S'il en est ainsi,
essuyer le bien l'aide d'un chiffon doux humect l'alcool.
Nota:
Pour la lubrification, couper le graisseur-auxiliaire environ 10 mm de la
pointe, introduire le tube-accessoire et effectuer la lubrification.

Overhang is the distance from the center spindle to the stylus when the
tonearm is closest to the center spindle, and is indicated by L in the
lllustration. The overhang of the tonearm o your turntable should be
17.5mm. Loosen the screws holding the cartridge to the headshell and

Lubrication is necessary once every three months (or after about 200
hours) on the average. Use the oil supplied. To lubricate, remove the
platter and the drive belt; pull the platter shaft upward;and apply two
or three drops o oil to the shat and the oil orifice fol. the motor.
Be careful not to stain the capstan with oil. lf so, be sure to remove
Wlth a soft cloth moistened with alcohol.
Note:
When you use your unit after a long period of disuse, the arm lifter
mchanism way tend to lower the tonearm more slowly than usual.
This may also occur in periods of temperature change, such as in the
