SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

Always have a Smart Phone


Bring mini stapler to job and copies of the forms listed above or mini printer for

ID photo for loan docs


Bring bottle of water in the CA (in summer months, freeze the night before)
Clipboard (trust me)
Always have multiple Blue and Black Ink Pens
Briefcases that open at the top makes working in small locations more

manageable
Put extra California verbiage notary forms in clear plastic folders (easier to see
when at the job)

ALL PURPOSE CALIFORNIA ACKOWLEDGEMENT (Make Copies)

Fill in your name as it appears on your commission, then make copies (smart
phone photo ok)

GENERAL POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR FINANCE (Make Copies)

Notarize both giver and receiver (if receiver is there)


Have client fill in giver and receiver names
$10 per notarized signature per document

DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR HEALTHCARE DECISIONS (Make Copies)

Have client fill in form


Notary acknowledgements on the last page of the form (Witnesses are NOT

required when the for is notarized)


$10 per notarized signature and $5 each form that you have to provide for the
client

COPY CERTIFICATION BY DOCUMENT CUSTODIAN (Make Copies)

Notary fills in Jurat section
$10 per notarized signature per form

PAY

Notaries make 75% of the job total that is collected from the client. Notaries are
reimbursed 100% for parking. FedEx/UPS, Apostilles fees etc that they collect

from the client.


Notaries are paid via PayPal within 2 weeks that the office receives the notaries

paperwork
Do not staple or paperclip or anything you mail to the office. Do not fold checks.

OTHER

According to the IRS section 1402 cl the performance of the functions of a


public office. (Notary public is a public office.) Theyre exempt from self-

employment tax.
ANY Pay that you receive from us via PayPal or check monthly, we do not send
you a 1099
IRS REQUIREMENT: Exclude any payments made through a payment card (such
as a credit card, debit card or gift card) or third-party (such as PayPal).

Itemize the Fees: Travel fee, Number of Signatures, waiting fee and parking fee,

document printing fee. Then total.


Parking fee is deducted in entirety for notary to keep
Nobody gets Billed Unless it is previously Specified and Authorized by Toni Yater

HAVE CLIENT SIGN BOTTOM OF RECEIPT!!!! Make copy or photo text copy
right after notary.
CLIENT CHECKS

All check must have a current pre-printed address (no out of area checks)
Write ID # on check with expiration date
Notary initials at bottom of check

KEEP ALL PAPERWORK IN ORDER IT WAS GIVEN TO BE SIGNED AND


RETURNED!!!!!

AT THE LOCATION

BE 5 MINUTES EARLY
Never tell a client where you live
If ANYTHING is WRONG/DIFFERENT than what we told you, CALL US

IMMEDIATELY
If the client is a NO SHOW, call the office.
Never wait more than 15 minutes without calling the office
Do NOT charge a waiting fee without calling the office
Do not change the appointment, call the office while you are with the

client
NEVER negotiate fees
Do not make future appointments with the client. Say Lets call the

office to schedule another appointment


Do NOT go to another location with the client. Call the office. Your

safety is first.
Never give your cell or any personal information to the clients
Verify cash/check received if money is in an envelope, open it in front
of client and confirm.

AVOID MITAKES
To avoid mistakes on the job, missed signatures, blurred stamps and
misspelled names, please take your time to perform the notary act
correctly. You are responsible for your mistakes. You are not paid to correct
your mistakes. Please make sure of the following before you leave a job:
1. You have signed and stamped the document.
2. Your stamp is clear (it cannot be blurry, smudged, or illegible in any
way).
3. You fill out the signers name correctly and completely; as it appears on
the document.
4. When you are done with the document, have the client review it; to
make sure the document is signed, stamped, and all the names are
spelled correctly and completely.
5. When given the document ask the client, Is this all you need notarized
today?
Your safety is first and if you ever feel uncomfortable or the
job is not going as instructed please contact the office. As a
precaution, carry mace at all times and call 911 if it is an
emergency. Be aware of your surroundings and please notify

the office when your notary job is complete (via text, email or
phone call).
