Put extra California verbiage notary forms in clear plastic folders (easier to see
when at the job)
Fill in your name as it appears on your commission, then make copies (smart
phone photo ok)

Notaries make 75% of the job total that is collected from the client. Notaries are
reimbursed 100% for parking. FedEx/UPS, Apostilles fees etc that they collect
paperwork
Do not staple or paperclip or anything you mail to the office. Do not fold checks.

ANY Pay that you receive from us via PayPal or check monthly, we do not send
you a 1099
IRS REQUIREMENT: Exclude any payments made through a payment card (such
as a credit card, debit card or gift card) or third-party (such as PayPal).
HAVE CLIENT SIGN BOTTOM OF RECEIPT!!!! Make copy or photo text copy
right after notary.
CLIENT CHECKS

All check must have a current pre-printed address (no out of area checks)
Write ID # on check with expiration date
Notary initials at bottom of check
AT THE LOCATION

BE 5 MINUTES EARLY
Never tell a client where you live
If ANYTHING is WRONG/DIFFERENT than what we told you, CALL US
IMMEDIATELY
If the client is a NO SHOW, call the office.
Never wait more than 15 minutes without calling the office
Do NOT charge a waiting fee without calling the office
Do not change the appointment, call the office while you are with the
client
NEVER negotiate fees
Do not make future appointments with the client. Say Lets call the
safety is first.
Never give your cell or any personal information to the clients
Verify cash/check received if money is in an envelope, open it in front
of client and confirm.
AVOID MITAKES
To avoid mistakes on the job, missed signatures, blurred stamps and
misspelled names, please take your time to perform the notary act
correctly. You are responsible for your mistakes. You are not paid to correct
your mistakes. Please make sure of the following before you leave a job:
1. You have signed and stamped the document.
2. Your stamp is clear (it cannot be blurry, smudged, or illegible in any
way).
3. You fill out the signers name correctly and completely; as it appears on
the document.
4. When you are done with the document, have the client review it; to
make sure the document is signed, stamped, and all the names are
spelled correctly and completely.
5. When given the document ask the client, Is this all you need notarized
today?
Your safety is first and if you ever feel uncomfortable or the
job is not going as instructed please contact the office. As a
precaution, carry mace at all times and call 911 if it is an
emergency. Be aware of your surroundings and please notify
the office when your notary job is complete (via text, email or
phone call).
