Custard biscuits

Ingredients
250g butter, softened
1/2 cup pure icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups plain flour
1/2 cup custard powder
Select all ingredients

Method Notes
1. Preheat oven to 180C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2. Place butter, sugar and vanilla into a food processor.
3. Process for 2 minutes or until well combined.
4. Add flour and custard powder.
5. Pulse until just combined (don't over-process or biscuits will not have a fine texture).
6. Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture into small balls.
7. Place onto prepared baking trays.
8. Press with a floured fork to flatten slightly.
9. Bake for 12 minutes or until light golden.
10.Allow to stand on trays for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
11.Repeat with remaining biscuit mixture.

Method Notes
1. Preheat the oven to 365 F (180 C).
2. Sift icing sugar, flour and custard powder and mix together.
3. Add butter and vanilla and kneed until you have a smooth dough.
4. Shape the dough into little balls.

5. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place the balls on top.
6. Press the balls down with a fork.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Ingredients
125g butter (at room temperature)
125g cake flour
40g custard powder or vanilla pudding powder
40g icing sugar
pinch of salt

Baking Directions
1. Cream the butter, sugar and custard powder to form a smooth mixture.

2. Add the salt. Add the flour little at a time.

3. Mix to form a soft dough. When pressed the dough should resemble the image below. Pinch out small portions

then roll into balls. Place on a lined baking tray.

4. Use a fork to press the custard biscuits into shape.


5. Bake at 180 degrees Celcius for 15- 20 minutes.Cool before serving.

INGREDIENTS
125 g butter, softened
1 cup caster sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
12 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 12 cups self-raising flour
12 cup custard powder
80 g white chocolate, roughly chopped

Method
1. Preheat oven to 180C and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and
vanilla and beat until well combined.
3. Sift flour and custard powder together over butter mixture. Add white chocolate and stir
until mixture forms a soft dough.
4. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on prepared trays, allowing room for
spreading. Using a fork, press dough to flatten slightly.
5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Stand on trays for 5 minutes then transfer to
a wire rack to cool.
