ISRAELS FUTURE

The following is an abbreviated account of Israel at present, and what the Bible
predicts concerning their future:

1. According to the Prophecies, Israel must be restored to her homeland as

a Nation:
In fact, this was done in 1948. All the many Scriptures pertaining to her
Restoration demand such.
Isaiah prophesied that Israel would be outcasts all over the world, and would
be gathered together from many Nations. He even said, The four corners of the
Earth (Isa. 11:11, 12). This is exactly what happened in 1948, and has continued

even unto this very hour, with the several hundreds of thousands coming from
Russia being of the latest gathering.
In fact, this is the reason that Adolph Hitler instigated the Holocaust, murdering
some 6 million of these people. Of course, he did not know the reason why, but
Satan through him, was attempting to slaughter so many that they would not be
able to establish a Nation. In fact, the Holocaust was the most horrifying event in
human history. Its magnitude only tends to signify the significance of the great
prophetic events which are about to be fulfilled in the world. In other words, we
are living in the last of the last days.
2. Israel will accept the Antichrist as the Messiah:
Actually, the Antichrist will not be revealed until after the Rapture
(Resurrection) of the Church (I Thess. 4:13-18; II Thess. 2:3-12). So, considering
that this is soon to come, this should tell the Church how close we are to the
Resurrection.
Jesus pointedly spoke of this time when He said, I am come in My Fathers
Name, and you received me not: if another (the Antichrist) shall come in his own
name, him you will receive (Jn. 5:43). As well, Daniel spoke graphically of this
coming time (Dan. 8:23-25; 9:27; 11:35-45; 12:1).
In 1996 (I believe it was) Israel signed the Palestinian Accords, thinking it
would help bring peace to the region. However, it has not brought peace, even as it
cannot bring peace. Consequently, the problems of Israel and the Middle East will
continue to increase until the Advent of the man of sin, i.e., the Antichrist.
When this man makes his appearance on the scene, he will come at first in the
capacity of peace (Dan. 9:27; Rev. 6:1, 2). He will be inspired by Satan as no other
human being in history. In fact, and to use modern vernacular, this will be Satans
trump card.
Israel will accept him as the Messiah, which means he will be a Jew. In fact,
the entirety of the world will praise him and for many and varied reasons. At the
outset, he will satisfy the Israeli/Palestinian problem, i.e., Moslem problem, etc.
Bringing peace to this troubled region, will greatly increase his stature throughout
the world. Israel will announce to the world at that time, even as Jesus predicted,
that their Messiah has finally come, and the world at that time will rejoice with her.
In fact, the Antichrist will sign a seven-year treaty with Israel and with many
other Nations, which will bring about all of these great happenings of peace, etc.
(Dan. 9:27).

3. The Antichrist will break his agreement with Israel:

As Israel will be lulled even deeper into her spiritual sleep, thinking that this
evil one is her Messiah, he will show his true colors, breaking his agreement with
Israel at the midpoint of this seven-year treaty, actually attacking her and defeating
her for the first time since she became a Nation in 1948 (Dan. 8:9-14, 23-26; 9:27).
In fact, the Antichrist, at least for a short period of time, will change his
headquarters to Jerusalem, actually taking over the rebuilt Temple

4. Israels Terrible time:

This period is that referred to by the Prophet Jeremiah as The Time of
Jacobs Trouble (Jer. 30:7). As well, John prophesied on the Isle of Patmos,
that at this time they would flee into the wilderness, where she hath a place
prepared of God (Rev. 12:6). Actually, at this time, the Antichrist would
completely destroy Israel but for the protection of the Lord, also prophesied by
John (Rev. 12:13-16). As well, the Antichrist at this time according to Daniel, will
be distracted by other events, and will go North and East to fight great battles,
which will give Israel a time of respite (Dan. 11:44).

5. The Battle of Armageddon:

After the Antichrist defeats other enemies, which will take the better part of
three years, consolidating his forces, he will then come back into Jerusalem, in
what is known as the Battle of Armageddon (Rev. 16:16). Ezekiel gives the full
account in Chapters 38 and 39 of his Book.
Why is the Antichrist so determined to destroy Israel considering that she is of
little consequence as a Nation, and at this time friendless in the world?
Empowered by Satan, the Antichrist will know of the predictions of the
Prophets in the Word of God concerning the Restoration of these people. If he can
destroy them, then the Word of God falls to the ground, and in effect, Satan has
won. Consequently, he will reserve his greatest effort against Israel.

6. The Second Coming of the Lord:

Zechariah prophesies that the Antichrist will come very close to succeeding in
his efforts, even with two-thirds of the Jews being killed at this time, even with
half of Jerusalem falling to the man of sin (Zech. 13:8; 14:1, 2).
Facing total extinction, Israel will then begin to call on God for her Messiah as
she has not heretofore done. In Truth, this is the major reason for the coming Great
Tribulation, the humbling of Israel, and bringing her back to God. To be sure, she
will be heard by the Lord, with the Scripture saying, Then shall the Lord go forth,
and fight against those Nations, as when He fought in the Day of Battle (Zech.
14:3).
This is the Second Coming, and that which will rescue Israel, defeating the
Antichrist, with Jesus Personally leading this great charge, even accompanied by
every Saint of God who has ever lived (Zech. 14:3; Rev. 19:11-21).
7. The Restoration:
Then Israel will repent, accepting Jesus as her Messiah and Saviour, restored to
her rightful place as the leading Nation of the world (Zech. 13:1-6; 14:8-21).
As well, the Prophet Ezekiel proclaims as to how Israel will function as the
leading Nation in the coming Kingdom Age under Christ (Ezek. Chpts. 40-48).
