Integration with Bombardier CSeries

Pulled computer cards from all of the flight deck test rigs and checked/entered them into the
ScanAsset repository, a tool that was used for keeping track of the location of the cards. Placed
barcodes on the cards for use with ScanAsset. Touched briefly on how to data load the rigs, and
learned how ARINC 429 works. Set up PREP (Peer Review Eclipse Plug-in) Peer Reviews to test .iocf
(Input/output common format) maps that a colleague was creating.
CSeries Systems Test Development
Wrote test procedures/scripts that would test specific functionalities on the rig. Would then go to
the rig with a tech reviewer to run through the script, verify the requirements, and make sure the
rig met those requirements. If a requirement failed, a CR (Change Request) would be created to
have the problem fixed. Once all requirements were met or dispositioned with a CR, the script
would be advanced to the next stage in PREP.
Testing Scripts on the Rig
Used DTS (Dynamic Test Simulator) to simulate the actual flying of the aircraft. Would also
manipulate the ARINC buses to set different bits to cause different functions to engage.
Training Video Creation
Some of the videos were desktop videos that went over the use of different tools that test
procedure writers might be using while working on the systems team. Other videos were rig
training videos that explained how to operate some of the functionalities available in the cockpit.

CSeries Certification
Recently I have been assisting the HIRF (High Intensity Radio Frequency) and Lighting group to
prepare the CSeries system for certification. I have been involved with testing the system and
documenting any upsets that occur while testing. Upsets are reactions the system has to the
injected currents induced during testing. The upsets are then investigated.
Program Orientation
I have been involved with assisting new people to the group to get them acclimated to the
program and making sure they have everything they need to get started. The new members are
generally interns and co-ops.

Engineering Skills:

Introduction to LabVIEW
Virtuoso (Semiconductor Layout tool)
Multisim (Circuit Schematic tool)
Ultiboard (PCB Layout tool)
Scripting
MATLAB
C Programming Language
Introduction to JavaScript
Familiarity with engineering tools
o DOORS Requirements Management tool that provides the features needed to capture, track,
and manage requirements.
o PREP Tool that organized Peer Reviews.
o ScanAsset Repository for cards and other lab equipment.
o Harvest Tool that keeps track of all ARINC 429 buses and labels.
o Subversion A configuration management tool for file repository.
o ClearQuest For writing CRs (Change Requests)
o Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Visio)

INTERESTS/HOBBIES:
I was very active in Scouting and enjoy the camping, hiking, fellowship, and outdoor activities that it
provides. I am also interested in electronics and enjoy building small useful electronic projects. I am a very
hands on person. I have even built two personal PCs.
