Provide care for a variety of pediatric patients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
responding to patient's call signals; assisting children in activities of daily living and providing
bedside care, under the supervision of an RN or LPN; observing patient's conditions, measuring and
recording food and liquid intake and output and vital signs, and reporting changes to nurses;
feeding children unable to feed themselves, and babies; helping patients with walking and moving in
and out of bed; supplying and emptying bed pans; applying dressings; bathing and dressing
patients; turning and repositioning bedridden patients; cleaning rooms and changing linens; and
collecting specimens.
Serve as a suicide safety companion.
