What is a Random Act of Kindness? A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a
person or people wishing either to assist or to cheer up an individual person or people. By teaching our
children the importance of being kind without expecting something in return we are helping our students
become compassionate and caring individuals in society.

Monday, February 8th:

Students: Say something nice to a friend day
Teachers and Class: have a discussion on being kind and what it means to do a random act of
kindness. Discuss the variety of acts that can be a random act (keeping the school clean/picking
up litter, taking a dog for a walk, playing with a little child, etc.)
Take Home: Teachers will hand out an anti-bullying pencil
