Section I
1. ABOUT ASSOCIATION OF COMBINED ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (ACEE)
In compliance with the directive of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the ASSOCIATION OF COMBINED ENTRANCE
EXAMINATION (ACEE) UTTARAKHAND, an association of private unaided medical & dental colleges of Uttarakhand state, would be
conducting the COMMON PRE-MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION-2016 (CPMEE-2016), Uttarakhand, through a reputed examining
body. The Entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the admissions to MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS courses offered at
various unaided private medical, dental, ayurvedic and homoeopathic member colleges of ACEE, purely on the basis of merit positions/rank
of the candidates for the commencing academic year 2016-2017.
ASSOCIATION OF COMBINED ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (ACEE) UTTARAKHAND (Regd.) was formed In compliance with

2. AIMS & OBJECTIVES of ACEE


The main concern of the ACEE is to conduct CPMEE-2016 and demonstrate a high standard of selection procedure based on merit
and allot the seats to the successful candidates so as to enable them to take admission in the desired member private unaided medical,
dental, ayurvedic and homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand state as per their respective merit. The ACEE will ensure students to take the
admission in the member institutions through proper procedures of admissions.
The important objective of ACEE is to bring together at one place all the reputed private unaided medical, dental, ayurvedic and
homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand state under one umbrella, where the students get the choice of different medical and dental streams
available at his/her merit. The students get the opportunity at one place to study in the institution of renowned repute and highest order of
educational facilities available in Uttarakhand state.
"The objective of ACEE is to provide the eligible candidates from all over India and abroad an opportunity to take admission in
reputed medical, dental, ayurvedic and homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand state without the requirement of any domicile (NO DOMICILE)
of Uttarakhand state or limitation. "
The educational principles and standards being adopted are those which are the best suited to the needs of the country and law.
Emphasis is laid totally on the merit based selection and admission to the member institutions. Candidates from all over India and abroad
are eligible to appear in CPMEE-2016 and NO DOMICILE of Uttarakhand state is required.

Section II
3. NAMES OF COURSES OFFERED AND THEIR DURATION
The CPMEE-2016 will be conducted for the admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS courses in different member private
unaided medical, dental, ayurvedic and homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand state.
(i) MBBS: The Course of studies leading to the award of degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is of
5 academic years including one-year compulsory internship.
(ii) BDS:The duration of study for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is of 5 academic years including one-year compulsory internship.
(iii) BAMS:The BAMS or Ayurvedacharya or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is awarded after the successful completion
of 5 years program that covers the study of integrated system of modern medicine and traditional ayurveda. The full 5 duration
of degree includes 4 years of the main course and one-year compulsory internship.
(iv) BHMS: The Degree Course of BHMS shall comprise a course of study consisting of Curriculum and Syllabus spread over a period
of 5 years, including compulsory Internship of one-year duration after passing the Final Degree Examination. Every candidate
after passing the final BHMS examination, shall undergo compulsory internship for a period of twelve months as per the procedure
laid down in Annexure 'A' attached to the regulations HOMOEOPATHY (DEGREE COURSE) B.H.M.S. REGULATIONS, 1983 (As
Amended upto June, 2005).

4. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(i) AGE: Only those candidates who have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before
31st December 2016 are eligible.
(ii) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION TO APPEAR IN CPMEE-2016
FOR MBBS, BDS & BAMS
a. Candidates must have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate
Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS,
CHEMISTRY, and BIOLOGY.
b. MINIMUM MARKS IN AGGREGATE: The 10+2 examination should have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects and
the candidate must have passed in all the above said subjects. The candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50%
marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to
SC/ST/OBCs, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination should be 40% in
lieu of 50% as for general candidates.
c. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects and
expect to pass the examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in CPMEE-2016. However,
their candidature will be considered for admission only when they will provide documentary evidence of having passed the
qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks at the time of counseling.
FOR BHMS
a. Candidates should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate
Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS,
CHEMISTRY, and BIOLOGY.
b. The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, and BIOLOGY and the
result is not yet declared are also eligible to appear in the CPMEE-2016 but such candidates shall submit the mark sheet of passing
qualifying examination at the time of counseling.
Note:
(i) The blind (including color blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be allowed for admission in the course MBBS, BDS, BAMS
and BHMS.
(ii) If an applicant is inadvertently allowed to appear the CPMEE-2016 in violation of the eligibility criteria, of the admitting institutes,
he/she cannot, at a later date, use that as a right to claim that he/she meets the eligibility requirements of the institute(s).
(iii) For OVERSEAS CITIZEN OF INDIA (OCI): OCI registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 are also eligible to appear in
this test and all terms and conditions applicable for Indian Nationals given in this Information Brochure will be applicable to them.
The candidate will submit proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 to be eligible to appear for this test.
(iv) FOREIGN NATIONALS:Foreign candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of
ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination for admission to
any institution of ACEE.

Important Note:
(i) Admissions to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS courses are subject to the permission obtained by the concerned colleges from their respective
Councils, State Government and Government of India.
(ii) The seats in the aforesaid colleges may change as per directions from respective councils/Govt. of India/Govt. of Uttarakhand & Judicial
pronouncements if any.
(iii) CPMEE is conducted for the Management Quota Seats for all India candidates. State Govt. conducts Entrance Examination for Govt.
Quota Seats where state domicile is required.
(iv) The respective colleges are solely responsible for their permission/affiliation from the respective councils/Govt. of India/State
Govt./University.
(v) There will be no legal bindings on the part of Association (ACEE) due to any dispute that arises between the candidates and
institute (college).
(vi) All disputes pertaining to the CPMEE-2016 will fall within the jurisdiction of Dehradun District only.

6. ANTI RAGGING MEASURES


Ragging or any act that comes under the definition of ragging is strictly prohibited. No act of ragging shall be tolerated and any
act of ragging shall not go unnoticed or unpunished. The institutions of ACEE are firm to curb and prevent any act of ragging
and all the member colleges of ACEE ensure that the stay of their students shall be completely safe and comfortable.
What is Ragging?
?
Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with
rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or
psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or
perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of
shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.

Ragging has been defined as disorderly conduct, doing of any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm
or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any educational institution.
?
Ragging has been defined as teasing, abusing or causing hurt or asking student to do an act which he/she is unwilling to do.
?
Ragging has been defined as an act, which causes or is likely to cause insult or annoyance or fear or apprehension or threat or
intimidation or outrage modesty or insult to a student.
"Ragging means display of noisy, disorderly conduct, doing any act, which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm
?
or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any educational institution and includes teasing, abusing
of, playing practical jokes on or causing hurt to, such students; or asking the student to do any act or perform something, which such
student will not, in the ordinary course, willingly do".
"Ragging has been defined as an act causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of a practical joke or
?
otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates his/her person or exposes him to ridicule or forbear from doing
any unlawful act, by intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining, or injuring him or by using criminal force to him or by
holding out to him any threat or such intimidation, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force".
"Any act that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of a fresher student (''fresher'', i.e. first-year student), will be
?
considered within the academics related aspect of ragging; similarly, exploiting the services of a junior student for completing the
academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of seniors is also an aspect of academics related ragging prevalent in many
academic institutions".
"Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homo-sexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts,
?
gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person comes under the category of ragging with criminal
dimensions".

"Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, snail mail and public insults are considered within the psychological aspects of ragging.
Any act that affects the mental health and self confidence of fresher students is also described in terms of the psychological aspect of
ragging".
?
"The injury caused to the fundamental right to human dignity through humiliation heaped on junior students by seniors comes under
the human rights perspective of ragging".

PUNISHMENT:

Administrative Action in The Event of Ragging

The institution shall punish the student found guilty of ragging after following the procedure and in the manner prescribed here in under:
?
The Anti-Ragging Committee of the institution shall take an appropriate decision, in regard to punishment or otherwise, depending
on the facts of each incident of ragging and nature and gravity of the incident of ragging established in the recommendations of the
Anti-Ragging Squad.
?
The Anti-Ragging Committee may, depending on the nature and gravity of the guilt established by the Anti-Ragging Squad, award,
to those found guilty, one or more of the following punishments, namely;
a) Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
b) Withholding/withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits.
c) Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process.
d) Withholding results.
e) Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc.
f)

Suspension/expulsion from the hostel.

g) Cancellation of admission.
h) Rustication from the institution for period ranging from one to four semesters.
i)

Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period.

Provided that where the persons committing or abetting the act of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective
punishment.

The Medical College was started in the year 2006 and is
being run by Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission the ancillary
organization of Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib, Dehradun, a 340
year's old religious, social and philanthropic organization. The
college is recognized by the Medical Council of India and
Government of India for MBBS and PG (MD/MS) courses. The
college is affiliated with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal
(Central) University, Srinagar, UK. The Medical College aims at
providing quality Medical Education and is a centre of excellence.
Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission, established in
1952, is providing Quality Education, Medical Education and

1,00,000 students are getting primary to PhD level education

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department
of Health), Government of India vide its notification No. V-12017/
2001-DE Dated 25 t h June, 2008 granted permanent
RECOGNITION to Seema Dental College and Hospital. It is the
first recognized Dental College of Uttarakhand state with total
intake of 100 students per year in under graduate course (BDS).
The college is heading for the admission to the 14th Batch, i.e. Batch
2016. The College is affiliated to H.N.B. Garhwal University,
Srinagar, Garhwal (A Central University). The college is running
post graduate course (MDS) for the last five years. At present,
SDCH is offering admission in MDS course in seven dental
specialties namely Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics,

8. ABOUT COMMON PRE MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CPMEE)2016
(i) PATTERN OF COMPETITIVE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CPMEE-2016)
The Common Pre Medical Entrance Examination-2016 would consist of one paper of 200 marks containing
200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology to be answered on the
specifically designed machine-gradable OMR Sheet. The MCQs will be from the syllabus of 10+2
examination of various boards. The duration of paper would be 2 hours.
The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination will be that of 12th class under the 10+2
Scheme/Intermediate Science. No syllabus has been prescribed by the ACEE for the CPMEE-2016.
(ii) SCORING AND NEGATIVE MARKING
There is NO NEGATIVE MARKING. All the questions will be objective type with multiple choices (A, B, C &
D), of which, only one choice will be the most appropriate response/answer. Each correct answer shall be
awarded ONE mark. ZERO mark shall be given to no response and incorrect answer. More than one choices indicated against a
question shall be considered as incorrect response/answer and ZERO mark will be given.
(iii) DATE & TIME OF EXAMINATION
All candidates will be required to appear in Competitive Entrance Examination (CPMEE-2016), which will be conducted by the ACEE.
The venue and time of the examination will be communicated to the candidates through the Admit Card. No candidate will be allowed to
appear in the examination unless he/she holds a valid Admit Card.The CPMEE-2016 will be held on 27th May, 2016 (Friday) from
10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
(iv) LANGUAGE OF QUESTION PAPER
Question paper of CPMEE-2016 will be both in English and Hindi.
(v) EXAMINATION CENTRE
The examination will be held in ten cities for which city codes are listed in Table No. 2 given below. Candidates should indicate their
choice of city for examination centre in OMR Application Form. The choice of city for examination centre once opted will not be changed
and any request for such a change will not be entertained. Therefore, the candidate should indicate his/her choice of city with due care
and thought. The ACEE holds the right to change the city of examination centre of any candidate or cancel the examination centre in any
city at any stage of time. In case of any discrepancy and non-availability of examination centre in the city opted, the city/centre as
allotted by ACEE will be considered as final (Please refer Table No. 2 for City Code ).

ADMIT CARDS
The Admit Cards of all candidates eligible to appear in the examination (CPMEE-2016) will be hosted on website of ACEE
(www.aceeindia.org) as per the schedule mentioned under 'IMPORTANT DATES AT A GLANCE'. The Candidates
are advised to download their Admit Cards from the ACEE website (www.aceeindia.org).
Admit Cards will also be sent to all eligible candidates at their postal address. The Office of the
Secretary, ACEE, shall not be responsible for non-receipt or delay of Admit Cards due to loss in transit or
any other ground. In case the Admit Card is not received 3 days prior to the date of CPMEE-2016, the
candidate should visit the official website of ACEE (www.aceeindia.org) and print their admit cards by
entering application number. The internet admit card should be printed and brought at the allotted
examination centre along with original photo ID, one photocopy of photo ID and one photograph.

The Admit Card will bear the candidate's roll number, centre code, name & venue of examination centre,
candidate's name, address, photograph and signature. The candidate should carefully examine the admit card
received by him/her for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should immediately inform the Secretary,
ACEE. Entry to the examination hall will be restricted only to those candidates who are in possession of the valid Admit Card. In no case a
duplicate Admit Card will be issued at the Examination Centre.
Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission process is over in the allotted Institute.
(vii) DECLARATION OF RESULT
The result of CPMEE-2016 will be declared by the first week of June, 2016 and the same will be posted on official website of
ACEE (www.aceeindia.org). No individual candidates will be informed about result by telephone/mobile or by post.

Section V
9.COUNSELING AND ADMISSION
(I) COUNSELING SCHEDULE
The counseling schedule will be posted on website of ACEE (www.aceeindia.org) after the declaration of result. Based on the result
of the CPMEE-2016, a rank list will be prepared, and the candidates will be called for counseling according their ranks. Those
called for counseling have to report at venue site at the time and the date as stated in the counseling schedule declared on ACEE
website (www.aceeindia.org) along with the following original documents and certificates:i. Admit Card of CPMEE-2016 (to be downloaded from website www.aceeindia.org)
ii. Result Card of CPMEE-2016 (to be downloaded from website www.aceeindia.org)
iii. Proof of Date of Birth Matriculation/High School Certificate, Birth Certificate issued by local Municipal Corporation office
indicating name and date of birth of the candidate.
iv. Certificate and mark sheet from the Board from which the candidate has passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with
minimum 50% marks for General Category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC or above in aggregate in the subjects of Physics,
Chemistry and Biology (Please see Eligibility Criteria).
v. Transfer Certificate from the University/Board last attended by candidate.
vi. Migration Certificate from the University/Board last attended by candidate.
vii. Character Certificate from Last attending School/ College/Gazetted officer.
viii. Certificate showing that candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC category from appropriate Government Authority.
ix. Current passport size photograph (front pose)-Four and Photo ID proof (original).
x. Two sets of attested copies of all the above mentioned documents.

For allocation of seats, candidate is required to be present in person. Candidates will exercise their choice of the institute (college) and
course when called during the counseling session as per their respective ranks. Choice of the institute (college) and course thus made
will be final and will not be changed.

It is mandatory for all candidates to be physically present, i.e. in person, on the day of counseling. No request for
authorized representative on behalf of candidate will be entertained for attending the counseling. If a
candidate fails to come for counseling in person, she/he will be marked absent and her/his candidature
will stand cancelled.

In case of dire-emergency (like Hospitalization/Accident/Mishappening), if the candidate is
unable to appear in person on the notified date for counseling, he/she can send his/her
authorized representative with an undertaking/authority-letter for seat allotment (Performa for
the said undertaking and authority letter will be available on ACEE website (www.aceeindia.org)
along with requisite original documents and the medical-certificate of candidate issued by the
Government Hospital only (No certificate of Hospitalization/Accident/Mishappening will be
entertained if issued by private hospitals and doctors).

Only Blood relatives and spouse (Wife, Husband, Father, Mother, real Brother & Sister) shall represent
as an authorized representative for candidate. No other person will be entertained for counseling. The
allotment made to the authorized representative shall be binding on the candidate. Along with the
undertaking/authority-letter, the authorized representative must bring his/her photograph, original Photo ID and address proof
(along with one photocopy of each) at the time of Counseling.

No candidate/authorized representative will be allowed to attend the counseling without original documents as mentioned above.
No TA/DA will be paid to candidate/authorized representative by the ACEE for attending the counseling/joining the course.
Candidates or their authorized representatives participating in the counseling process are required to maintain proper
decorum/discipline at the time of counseling. The Counseling Registration Fee once paid is not refundable.
(II) COUNSELING PROCESS
The following process will be adopted for counseling for seat allotment and admission at member colleges of ACEE.
(a) The counseling schedule will be posted on official website of ACEE (www.aceeindia.org) after the declaration of result.
(b) In the counseling process, all seats are unreserved and will be filled by open competition, wherein the candidates would be
called for counseling and seat allotment will be strictly based on their merit/rank in COMMON PRE-MEDICAL ENTRANCE
EXAMINATION (CPMEE-2016) alone, irrespective of whether they belong to General, SC, ST, OBC or OTH categories.
However, it is mandatory for General candidates to secure minimum 50% marks and for SC, ST & OBC candidates to secure
minimum 40% marks in COMMON PRE-MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CPMEE-2016) for considering them in
counseling and seat allotment in MBBS, BDS and BAMS course.
For BHMS Course, candidates irrespective of their categories must secure minimum 35% marks in COMMON PREMEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CPMEE-2016).
(c) For allocation of seats, candidates are required to be present in person in counseling session. The candidates will exercise
their choice of the institute and preference of course during the counseling according to their ranks in CPMEE-2016. The seat
once allotted to his/her choice will be final and will not be changed.
(d) Inter se merit of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the competitive COMMON PRE-MEDICAL ENTRANCE
EXAMINATION (CPMEE-2016) will be determined in order of preference as under:
(i) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology in the entrance examination.
(ii) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination.
(iii) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics in the entrance examination.
(iv) Candidates older in age to be preferred.
(III) ADMISSION PROCESS
(a) After counseling and allotment of seat on the basis of rank, the admission of the selected candidate shall be done by the
Principal/Head of the allotted college. Candidate shall be required to complete the admission formalities and join the course
assigned to him/her within the specified period.
(b) Candidate if after joining, remains absent continuously for 30 days without any intimation will be presumed not interested in
pursuing the course and the seat shall be treated as vacant and will be allotted to the next eligible candidate.

(c) A candidate who has been allotted seat for admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS or BHMS course shall have to deposit the
prescribed full fees at the time of admission. Those who fail to do so will loose their claim for admission in the course.
(d) The admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS or BHMS course shall be given only after the candidate produces the following original
documents at the office of the Principal of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (for MBBS), Seema
Dental College and Hospital (for BDS), Uttaranchal Dental & Medical Research Institute (for BDS), Uttaranchal Ayurvedic
College (for BAMS), Himalayayi Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital (for BAMS), Chandola Homoeopathic Medical
College and Hospital (for BHMS), Quadra Institute of Ayurveda (for BAMS) and Param Himalaya Homoeopathic Medical

iii. Proof of Date of Birth Matriculation/High School Certificate, Birth Certificate issued by local Municipal Corporation office
indicating name and date of birth of the candidate.
iv. Certificate and mark sheet from the Board from which the candidate has passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with
minimum 50% marks for General Category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC or above in aggregate in the subjects of Physics,
Chemistry and Biology (Please see Eligibility Criteria).
v. Transfer Certificate from the University/Board last attended by candidate.
vi. Migration Certificate from the University/Board last attended by candidate.
vii. Character Certificate from Last attending School/ College/Gazetted officer.
viii. Certificate showing that candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC category from appropriate Government Authority.
ix. Current passport size photograph (front pose)- Six
x. Seat allotment letter issued at the time of counseling
Bring two set of attested copies of all the above mentioned documents with you.
Note: All admissions are subject to verification of authenticity of facts from the original documents of the candidates. The
decision of the admission committee of college regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

10.INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED BY CANDIDATE AT EXAMINATION CENTRE
(i) All candidates are required to appear in the Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination-2016 for admission in any institution of
ACEE.
(ii) Candidates must reach their examination centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No candidate
will be allowed to appear in the examination after 10 minutes of commencement of the examination.
(iii) The venue and name of examination centre will be communicated through the Admit Card available on official website of ACEE
(www.aceeindia.org).
(iv) Once examination is over, the candidates should hand over his/her answer-sheet (OMR Sheet) and the question paper
(Test/Question Booklet) to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination hall.
(v) Candidates must bring a Blue/Black ball point pen, HB pencil, sharpener and eraser with them.
(vi) Candidates are not allowed to bring any book, textual material, and calculator, mobile phone, paging device, slide rulers, log tables
or laptop to the examination hall.
(vii) Any conversation or gesticulation or causing disturbance in the examination hall shall lead to debarring the candidate(s) from
appearing in the entrance examination.
(viii) Candidates giving assistance or seeking/receiving help from any source in answering questions or copying in any manner in the
examination will forfeit their chance of being considered for admission.
(ix) Candidate must sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator in examination hall.
(x) The machine-gradable answer sheets (OMR Sheets) are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinized. Therefore,
there is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
(xi) Candidate must make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging in connection with the Common Pre-Medical Entrance
Examination-2016. If you live far away from the venue of examination centre, it is prudent to reach the city on the previous day itself.
It is also advised to locate the examination centre beforehand. On the day of the examination, start early from your home/hotel and
reach the examination centre well in advance.

11. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANSWERING IN OMR SHEET


(i) The sealed Question (Test) Booklet will be provided to the candidate in the examination hall. The seal will be broken/opened by the
candidate after being instructed by the Supervising Invigilator. Do not open/break the seal before the announcement.
(ii) The Answer Sheet (OMR Sheet) will have pre-printed spaces for answering questions.
(iii) The Answer Sheet (OMR Sheet) will be of special type. There will be two sides in the OMR Answer Sheet and all the
ovals in the answer sheet are to be darkened using a Black HB Pencil.
(iv) Side I: This side of the Answer Sheet (OMR Sheet) contains the columns/space for Roll Number,
Test Booklet number, Centre Code, Name of the candidate and Signature of the candidate,
etc. which are to be filled in neatly and legibly by the candidate with blue/black ball point pen
within the prescribed boxes and darken the respective ovals with HB Pencil.
Side II: This side of the Answer Sheet (OMR Sheet) contains ovals for answering MCQs No. 001
to 200. Darken the ovals with HB Pencil for correct answer. Candidate should not indicate the
answer in any other way (like tick mark, cross, dot line, etc.) in ovals.

(v) Please do not make any stray marks on the answer sheet. If more than one oval is darkened or if the response is marked in any
manner as shown above under the wrong method (as given above), shall be treated as wrong way of marking.
(vi) If candidate wants to change any answer on the answer sheet, he/she must erase completely the existing pencil mark, and then
darken the appropriate oval with HB pencil.
(vii) Candidate must ensure that no visible mark is left after erasing the wrong answer. They should not do any rough work or writing
work on the Answer Sheet (OMR Sheet). All rough work should be done in the Question/Test Booklet only.
(viii) Do not seek clarifications on any question given in the Test Booklet from the Invigilator or Supervisor. Use your best judgment. The
order of questions is not the same in all Question/Test Booklets; the pages are jumbled. So, candidate should not change their
Question/Test Booklet during the examination. If you do so, your answers would be marked wrong. The records of CPMEE-2016
shall be preserved for two months after the declaration of result.
(ix) Do not leave your seat before the Invigilator personally collects the Answer Sheet (OMR Sheet) and Question/Test Booklet from
you at the end of the examination and allows you to leave the examination hall.
