Integrating
Aesthetics:
Transforming
Continuing
and
Professional
Education
Through
Africentric
Practice
The
purpose
of
this
qualitative
study
was
to
identify
and
describe
curriculum
content
and
instructional
strategies
at
three
African
Centered
educational
institutions
in
Chicago.
Goals
included
designing
a
continuing
and
professional
education
model
to
help
facilitate
an
understanding
of
the
educational
utility
of
African
Centered
practice.
The
workshop
model
and
curriculum
that
emerged
from
analysis
is
intended
for
traditional
public
school
practitioners
serving
students
of
the
African
Diaspora
in
urban
areas.
