These policies and procedures are important and
extremely easy to go along
with. By following the rules and procedures, you will
achieve success and
have a lot of fun in Art. Other rules will apply based
on individual lessons
& activities going on in the Art room throughout the
quarter.
1. Arrive to class on time, quietly, and in a mature
fashion. Find your seat,

and sit quietly until Ms. Lockman takes attendance &

gives the days
instructions. Refer to the school tardy policy in your
student handbook.
2. Remain in your assigned seat unless there is a
classroom-related necessity
for getting up. No one is allowed to roam around the
room.
3. Respect and use all art supplies appropriately
abuse of art supplies will
not be tolerated. Return all supplies to their
designated locations. Do not
take any art supplies out of the classroom.
4. Do not ask to leave the classroom unless it is an
emergency. Use the
restroom before you arrive to class. Visits to other
teachers, guidance, etc.
are granted ONLY if you have a pass from that
individual.
5. Absolutely no roughhousing. Safety is priority, and
any action that
jeopardizes the safety of you, another student, or the
teacher will not be

tolerated. Never throw any type of object in the

classroom. Keep your hands
to yourself: Your classmates have the right to expect
you to keep your hands
off them and their property and, in turn, you have the
right to expect them
to do the same.
6. Do not touch, mark or otherwise harm the art
work of another student: Art
work is highly valued in this room and any damage
done by one student to
another's work is considered a serious disciplinary
matter.
7. Work productively with limited stops. Art projects
should reflect your
greatest effort! Sleeping, and other kinds of
unproductive activities during
class time are strictly prohibited and will result in
disciplinary action.
8. At the designated clean-up time, follow all
specified clean-up procedures
we have established and make sure that your work
station is clean. Your
table/floor area must be clean before you are
dismissed. Wait quietly for

closure and dismissal from the class by Ms.

Lockman...not anyone else!
9. As always, treat the teacher, your peers, and
yourself with respect. Your
willingness to be respectful, responsible, fair,
trustworthy, and cooperative
will be appreciated and are very important to the
success of our class.

Help Sessions:
Students may come in early to get additional help or
time to work on

assignments. Please give at least 48 hours notice, as

I may have schoolrelated duties or meetings to attend. Students must
obtain a signed pass by
me in their agenda book in order to be permitted into
the building for their
session. Following an absence, it is the students
responsibility to talk to
me about missing work, and obtain their make-up
assignment. Any missing work
not submitted may result in a grade of zero.
