PRESS RELEASE

On Thursday, December 10, at approximately 3:19 P.M. the Winnebago County


Sheriffs Office responded to a disturbance in the Town of Algoma.
Officers from the Winnebago County Sheriffs Office and the Oshkosh Police
Department located the suspect vehicle near the Algoma Town Hall, where there
was an officer involved shooting incident. This involved one officer from the
Winnebago County Sheriffs Office and one officer from the City of Oshkosh Police
Department. The subject was transported to a local hospital where his condition
is unknown at this time.
The Department of Justice, Department of Criminal Investigation will be
investigating this incident. This is an active and ongoing investigation, and it is
premature to speculate about other details at this point.
There was never an active shooter in the area, and the public is not in any danger
from this incident.
Further informational updates will require approval from the Department of
Criminal Investigation.

Complaints of Interest
Domestic Disturbance 600 Starboard Ct
Officers called for a male that had been hitting a female in the yard then drug her back into the house.
Officers arrived and could hear a small disturbance inside, eventually had to force entry into the
residence. A male was arrested and jailed for Domestic Disorderly Conduct.
OWI HIT & RUN / DISTURBANCE Snell / Co Rd A
Officers called to this location for a hit and run accident, short time later they were called to the block
100 N Eagle for a disturbance. Once at the disturbance they located the suspect hit and run vehicle and
the driver. A male was arrested for the hit and run as well as OWI 3 rd offense, and taken to jail on a bail
jumping charge.
Domestic 1500 Evans
A male was arrested for Domestic D/C and criminal damage to property after he started a disturbance
with his live-in girlfriend and damaged some of her property. The female is being referred for domestic
D/C and criminal damage to property for her role in the disturbance.

A male was the passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop arrested on a Probation Hold.
Warrant 600 Starboard Ct W.
A male was located at this address. He had a warrant and was taken to jail.
Trespassing 2800 Jackson St.
We received a call of people trespassing inside the lot of a business. A female was located on scene, and
a male was caught running from the scene. Both were arrested for trespassing, and he was arrested for
resisting.
OWI Jackson/Packer
A female was arrested for 1st offence OWI .
Warrant Packer & Jackson
During a traffic stop, a male was arrested and jailed for a warrant.
DOMESTIC 1000 Greenwood Ct
There was a disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The male was intoxicated and threw her
onto a bed, and slapped her. He was arrested and jailed for Domestic Disorderly Conduct
DOMESTIC 1200 Jackson
A male got into a physical and verbal disturbance with his ex-wife. She tried to leave several times and
he would not allow her to leave, she eventually was able to get away and call the police. He was
arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and False Imprisonment.
Theft 300 W. Packer Av

Officers took a theft of tires complaint where the suspect had been in the shop earlier in the day asking
about a car on the property. The suspect returned after hours and stole the tires off of the vehicle.
