RE: Addition of Lime Stabilization Facility and Land Application Sites in
Alabama ~ Contract 947-ADM1
Dear Ms. Racey:
EPIC, a Synagro Company, submitted the proposal of “Addition of Lime
Stabilization Facility and Land Application Sites in Alabama” for Contract
947-ADMI on February 21, 2007. Based on our review of your proposal,
we concur on adding the Alabama program to the NYC Biosolids
Management Plan, Please note that prior to initiating the Alabama program,
NYCDEP will need to conduct a facility inspection for approval. It is
important that the facility be completed prior to the a site inspection. Also,
although the 503 regulations are being followed in Alabama, we request that
Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) be notified
regarding this plan.
Please be aware that Contract 947ADMI and 1131-BIO are land application
contracts for biosolid beneficial uses only (no landfill applications will be
allowed). If you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not
hesitate to contact the Chief of Biosolids Management Section, Mr. Pedick
Lai, at (718) 95-6571, Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
L thin Apel
