The Bible and Holy Quran on Pork (From The Book: The Truth About Pork) by Brother Abdu

l Muhammad
In both Bible and Holy Qur-an Allah (God) condemns the touching & eating of swin
e flesh. If we agree that Allah (God) is the Best Knower, Foreknower & the All-k
nowing One, then surely He knows best what foods to eat and not to eat. We must
ask the question, Why does Allah (God) forbid the eating and touching of swine fl
esh in any form? First let us look at what Allah (God) says about the eating of s
wine flesh in both Bible & Holy Qur-an:
Leviticus 11:7-8 And the swine, though he divided the hoof, and be clovenfooted, ye
t he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, an
d their carcass shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
Deuteronomy 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the c
ud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dea
d carcass
Here Allah (God) clearly states that the flesh of swine is forbidden to eat and
touch. Bible Scholars agree with the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that the Ki
ngs meat spoken of in Daniel Ch. 1:8 is referring to swine flesh. In that story D
aniel and the three Hebrew boys, followed the instruction of the Best Knower, th
e Foreknower and the All-knowing One, Allah (God). In the end they were healthie
r by not eating the Kings meat and drinking his drink. Some of us make the mistak
e of thinking that the advent of Jesus suspends the Law Allah (God) gave to Mose
s. Lets examine Jesus words concerning the Law Allah (God) gave to Moses.
Matthew 5:17-19 Think not that I (Jesus) am come to destroy the law, or the prophet
s: I am not come to destroy, But to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven
and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law , till
all is fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven.
Jesus says he came to fulfill the law Allah (God) gave to Moses. Fulfill means t
o put into effect, to measure up to. Therefore, Jesus came in the world to put M
oses law into effect and make it the reality by which all of us live. This would
include Allahs (Gods) prohibition against swine. Jesus clearly states that he has
not come to destroy the law and that the law will not be changed until heaven a
nd earth pass away. Heaven an earth are still present, therefore law is still in
place and should be followed. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad made and inter
esting point in reference to this topic. He said to say that the All-wise Allah
(God) changed His mind is to say that He is not a Foreknower. Allah (God) is the
Foreknower and as the creator of man and pigs is the Best Knower of nature of b
oth of them. Even though pigs are fed grains and corn in some places, this does
not negate the FACT that they are filthy and poisonous by nature. If one were to
feed a poisonous snake a better diet, it would not change the nature of the sna
ke, being poisonous. If one were to grow a poisonous plant in a different type o
f soil, it would not prevent the plant from doing by nature what it is created t
o do. The same principle stands true for the swine. People often make the mistak
e of thinking that the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not know they food wou
ld be filled with all types of hormones and chemicals. To say this is to say tha
t he, as the Messenger of God, was not a foreknower like his Teacher. We would b
e foolish to say that How to Eat to Live is somehow outdated and Dr. So and So h
as better guidance than the Messenger of the Best Knower, the Foreknower and the
All-Knowing One.
Allah (God) continues his condemnation of the swine as follows:
Isaiah 65:2-4 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, whi
ch walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; A people that pro
voketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burn
eth incense upon alters of brick; Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the
monuments, eating swines flesh, and the broth of abominable things is in their ve
ssels.
Isaiah 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens be
hind one tree in the midst, eating swines flesh, and the abomination, and the mou

se, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.

The word abomination mean abhorrence; disgust, that which is hated, a cause of a
bhorrence, disgust or hatred. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that the o
ne tree the people hide behind were the people who used the word of God to justi
fy the consumption of prohibited swine flesh. The Bible condemns those that enga
ge in that type of activity as follows:
Ezekiel 22:26 Her priest have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things:
they have put no difference between the holy and the profane, neither have they
shewed difference between the unclean and the clean and have hid their eyes for
m my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
This perfectly describes how those who are charged with the responsibility of us
ing the word of Allah (God), to raise His standard, have used His word to justif
y their own evil and the evils of he people under their charge. No wonder Jesus
says in Matthew 5:19, Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandm
ents, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven The
Holy Quran, the book of scripture for over one billion Muslims on earth, also con
demns the consumption of swine.
Holy Qur-an 2:173 He has thus forbidden you only what dies of itself, and blood, an
d the flesh of swine, and that over which any other (name) than (that of) Allah
has been invoked
Holy Qur-an 5:3 Forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and the f
lesh of swine, and that over which any other name than that of Allah has been in
voked
Holy Qur-an 6:146 Say, I find not in that which is revealed to me aught forbidden f
or an eater to eat thereof, except that it be what dies of itself, or blood pour
ed forth, or flesh of swine for that surely is unclean or what is a transgressio
n, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it
Holy Qur-an 16:115 He has forbidden you only what dies of itself and blood and the
flesh of swine and that over which any other name than that of Allah has been in
voked;
