October 2014: East National Art Honor Society paints faces at the East High Trick or Treat
Street

October 2014: The Colorado Art Education Association names Mrs. Sawyer the Colorado Art
Educator of the year at the CAEA conference in Breckenridge, Colorado

October 2014: Presented two workshops at the Colorado Art Education Association: "Linear
Family Tree Sculptures" hands-on art-making lesson and "Yam it up! Youth Art Month"
advocacy and Youth Art Month 2015 flag contest kick-off

October 2014: Students creating observational drawings in the 5th floor tower at East High
School and in the school museum
