On February 20, 2007, Detective Kenyon and I contacted as onc am

as opened my folder, She said it was the same man she knew as Michael Amold. She
said she first met him in court when she appeared on her DUI. The court hearing had
been rescheduled twice and she came in on the 23" of January, 20U7 for her appearance,
Michael Arhold asked her to go out into the hall and speak with him. He asked about her
employment and she told him she had just got laid uff Gum the Bridgewater Restaurant.
He told her bhe should ask for a fine reduction. He told her she was the youngest person.

to complete the requirements of the Diversion because it can ruin your life if you don’t
follow through. At the end of the conversation, he commented about her shoes. He said
hhe had the same kind of shoes a while back, when he was younger.

second time. He asked who she was in the car with. She told him it she was with an
under age person, MEMS and it was a big mistake. She was 17. Figg had already
been to court. Then he asked her where there was a good place to eat, He was talking
about other|thinys, which she did not recall, but which were unrelated to her court
proceeding) MINN was just nodding and tried to shake it off because she wanted to get

no discussign about her getting an attorney. She had already made her decision to do the
diversion. She knew she was eligible for it. She had seen a court prepared presentation
from the judge. She knew she would be pleading guilty and getting a fine of about $367
and a one year suspension. Michael Amold asked her what kind of car she was driving.

“Ms! Itsays on your profile that you go to a concert every month. So I either
saw you at the Tech Nine Concert last Friday night at the McDonald Theater or it was in
Cowt on Tuesday. Small world.” INNINNI said her My Space profile only has her fist
name, “ "but no last name is shown, He already knew her last name. It shows
her photogrpph, lied to his message and said, “No, I didn’t go to the concert.
I missed it. Yeah, [was in court on Tuesday.”

Amold seng Email messages back and forth to each other. She only checked her
messages about once per day and responded to his messages. They talked about the
band. They talked about music and sports. He said he was on a ranch in INL. They
talked about stuff he did. The conversation was all boring ta this point, There was
probably a inessage every day. She deleted all the messages. She used her
grandmother's computer, which was the older one. Her aunt's newer computer just came
and was not being used yet.

to go to a hotel and get a room and she could use the restroom in his room. They went
back to the Driftwood and he checked out a room. They went (o the room and she went
in to use the restroom. She did not use the restroom downstairs because that was not the
plan, Michhel Amold was dressed in a suit anc said he was going to change. While she
was in the restroom, he changed from his suit into some camo pants and at-shirt. They
sat and talked, He sat on the bed. She sat on the night stand and he talked about the type
of people he worked with. He talked about young people he was trying to help.

Detective Kenyon and I contacted Detective Siewell, who gave me the fake ID he got
from receipts for the dinner and motel room he got from the Driftwood and the
original pt line up he used,
Detective Kenyon and I contacted Judge Brissenden. Judge Brissenden said he could not
allow us to have copies of the tile because he believed the case was not public record
because it was not a closed case, He said, however, this was a standard DUI diversion
and the prosecutor did nut ask for any special favors or circumstances for| He
said the court was not a court of record and there were no video tapes in the building, He
said he did hot have a mental picture of I and did not recall anything unusual
about the case. Judge Brissenden said he dealt with Michael Amold on occasion when
Michael Arnold acted as a temporary prosecutor in the Cottage Grove substation and
thought he was always very above board. Judge Brissenden pointed out, Michael Arnold,
as a prosecutor, was in a position fo represent the city in event Miami did not make it
through her diversion, so his personal relationship with her was a definite conflict.

of plans to meet with him, He said Michael Amold sent him a text message on

On February 22", I contacted IMEI She said she had no information except
‘what wae told to her by her employees. She was not aware Michael Amnold had rented a
room that night. She gave me information on contacting the Executive Office for room
receipt information.

said she was POA for her mother, EN. They were totally aware of
the situation and were agreeable to having the State Police take the computer used for this
investigation. They just got a new computer anyway.
On February 22°, I called the Driftwood Shores Resort executive offices.
‘She said thir records showed a Michael Arnold of Eugene rented a room on February
6*. She sajd she would send a copy of the receipt to me upon request by letter. Isent a
letter to making the request. She sent me copies of the records, which indicated Michael
Amold chegked in to 2 room at 9:58 PM on 02-06-07 and checked out at 7:06 AM on 02-
07-07. He used his credit card account number AEE He got a single
queen sized bed. Their records included the house keeping record, which showed the
oom was uged and cleaned the next day.
‘On February 22", I spoke with She said she knew the name of

found out vjas Michael Amold, was married because she saw his ring, He was dressed in
a suit and djd not fit with the young girl he was with. ‘Therefore, she was suspicious and
trying to watch them. Michael Amold initially ordered the two drinks, which were red

computer, along with signed consent for the Oregon State Police to examine it, The

On February 27, 2007, I requested Detective Kenyon contact again to obtain
further information. Detective Kenyon told me he contacted who again
confirmed she did not give Michael Amold her phone number during their conversations.
Her conversations with Michael by Email had nothing very personal or significant in
