- Watch Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin
- sing Pumpkin Carols, conducting them as a whole choir
- if you play the piano, you can play the Christmas carol while the students
sing the Halloween words
- find the Christmas Carol on YouTube, karaoke style, don't show the
Christmas words but have the music audible to sing the Halloween
words to
- show the words on the smartboard and sing along a capella
- print the words off into a class set of booklets
- this lesson could be extended by:
- having the students write their own Halloween words to a Christmas Carol
- using instruments, substitute some words with appropriate instrument
sounds, or add sounds in addition to the words, in a Pumpkin Carol
for sound effects
