2010, has conducted analytical research with cross sectional design. The population
is all of the existing fertile age couple in Sukadame Village, the required sample 130
of fertile age couple. The election is determined on a purposive basis. Data analysis
was done by univariate analysis, bivariate and multivariate.
Found the prevalence of contraceptive use 75.4% and type of contraceptive
injection (48.9%), implant (19.4%), MOW (15.3%), pill (14.3%), and the IUD (2 ,
1%), while there is no utilization of man contraception (0,0%). Results of bivariate
analysis shows that there are three variables that have a relationship significant
association with contraceptive use is knowledge of a good wife (p = 0.003), working
wives (p = 0.032), and the availability of good contraceptive services (p=0,017).
Multivariate analysis showed that the level of knowledge of acceptor is a
factor that affects in relation to the use of contraception in couples with logistic
regression equation y =- 2.888 + 1.241 X. The dominant factor associated with the
use of contraceptives is knowledge of the fertile age couples wife about
contraception (p=0,005), but 48,5% of whom had children 3 persons.
Need to increase the CIE (communication, information and education) by the
Health Officer so that knowledge about contraceptives of the fertile age couple

contraception because there is no man used it in this research.
