Guilty pleas entered in adoption scam
A former Erie County child protection investigator pleaded guilty
to criminal contempt and other charges in a 2005 adoption scam.
Also pleading guilty was the mother of the child Anthony Noble
tried to adopt. Both face jail terms up to one year on the adoption
ploy linked to Godfreys now 4-year old daughter, prosecutors
Susan H. Sadinski and Mark A. Sacha said.

Coffee shop owner convicted of arson
Prosecutors Mark A. Sacha and Amy B. Benedict proved Coldiron
had applied for about $290,000 in business insurance on the
shop about a month before the fire and that he had been awaiting
an insurance company inspection of his business at the time of
the arson.
