Consider integrating a hook into the lesson to hook students into the lesson ie., a short
YouTube video of the colonies
Consider using Jigsaw for the activity where students become experts for their section and
then come back and share out to their groups
Consider strategies to make the content more engaging and stimulating, and to make the content
come alive
