Mayor Frith called the meeting to order at 5:00 p. m. The secretary made note of those
Councilmembers present and absent.

SUBJECT OF MEETING:

CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER APPROVAL OF REQUEST FROM TEMPLE OF GOD CHURCH

TO CLOSE SANDRA STREET FOR A BLOCK PARTY ON SATURDAY, JUNE 30, 2001.

As Councilmember Alexander had brought this request before the Council, Mayor Frith asked him if
he had checked with Chief of Police Wayne Putnal. Councilmember Alexander said he had and there
would be no problem with closing the street. Councilmember Alexander said he would get with public
work employees to place orange traffic cones in the area.

Councilmember Cook made a motion to approve the request that Sandra Street be closed off for a
block party on Saturday, June 30, 2001. Councilmember Alexander seconded the motion and upon roll
call vote was as follows:

Councilmember Scott ABSENT
Councilmember Everett ABSENT
Mayor Frith X

ADJOURNMENT.

There being no further business to come before the City Council at this time, the meeting was
adjourned at approximately 5:04 p. m.
