1. Two topics, which generated the most discussion today, were:
-One of the topics that generated the most discussion today, were the fact that Iran could
control in the long run worldwide oil prices is scary.
-Another topic that generated the most discussion was the thought that the U.S could try
to contain Iran within their borders.

2. As a group, we agreed one of the most important or intriguing passages in this


section was about: (this may or may not be one that the Passage Master selected)
-One of the most intriguing passages was the part when the author (Robert Bauer)
interviewed Seyed Safavi, brother of the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard
Corps, and he describes why the Iranian people tend not to like the way the western
superpowers deal with blocks in their path and enters in subjects that dont need them
like the case of Mossadeq coup problem in 1953.
