DYNAMIC RESOURCE ALLOCATION ALGORITHM

FOR MIMO-OFDM SYSTEMS

The Promising candidate for the next generation fixed and mobile
wireless system is the combination of MIMO technology with OFDM. This creates a strong
system that has the ability to successfully reject fading as well as Intersymbol interference
and fulfils the need for high throughput. To provide quality of Service (QOS) guarantees to
users over the harsh wireless channels with the limited availability of resources, the dynamic
resource allocation algorithm is developed. In resource allocation, there are two major issues
which are notable, are capacity enhancement and fairness improvement which clearly have a
trade off strategy in many applications. Some literature papers fairness problem to increase
the worst users capacity and to provide equal fairness among users in system have been
considered and analysed. However, different data throughput for different users in various
services and multimedia applications is required. In this research, a dynamic resource
allocation algorithm is proposed so that the usage of system resources will be more efficient
with low complexity and high throughput by using multiuser transmission technique in
MIMO systems with OFDM signalling considering different channel conditions for different
users with dynamic bits, power and subcarrier allocation .
