The coach should:

Do not move the injured or ill person; try to make them comfortable
Meet or have a designee greet medical personnel
Contact athletes parent/guardian
Contact the athletic director
Obtain and fill out the appropriate medical form
If the athlete is transported to hospital by ambulance and the parent is not
in attendance have someone accompany the athlete to the hospital; do
not leave your team unsupervised
