Woof! Woof! Woof! Or, in human, hello! Im Sherman Mcguigan and I live with the Mcguigans.
My favorite thing is sausage - sometimes my owners will give it to me. Well not give...more like

drop? Anyways I live with a dog Teddy..we used to not get along. Here is a story of me and
Teddy...at least the beginning.

A long time later we heard a breath-taking crash and I knew Owner had awoke. He
stomped through the hall and thundered something at the top of his lungs. I heard the
familiar rampage of feet and Petter and Half-feeder appeared, jumped over the stool with
ease, and went to their den. Whatever Owner had told them, it brought them up quick.
Owner scratched me behind the ears, where I liked to be scratched. I opened my mouth
and let my tongue hang out in enjoyment, and he laughed. They always laugh.
Sherman, he said. He yipped again before I could catch, Sherman, again. I smiled harder.
Then Teddy arose from chewing his bone and padded up, giving me a painful headbutt that
knocked me off my paws.
n he yipped something that Half-feeder and Petter could hear.
A moment later, Petter streamed out the door followed by Half-feeder. As Half-feeder
feeds me, Petter explained in Hind-stander language what she did in the Great Unknown.

Hungry, I sniff for human food. None. Its a shame, but I am hungry, so I eat.
Teddy has a disgusted look on his face. Motioning with my tail, I lead him to where the
Hind-standers cant hear us.
What's wrong? I whisper in a hoarse voice.
Teddy gives me a glare that looks like he would say some nasty thing about me, but he
looks suddenly calmer.Oh, I just dont like the food.
I nodded. I feel that way, but I always eat, I said. Try it. Then you won't be hungry.
So?
So you will not have to eat the food.
I have a brain, thank you very much, Teddy retorted.Oh, Teddy, I am your guide! Oh,
Teddy, let me tell you all the BASICS! Seriously. Guess what?
What? I snarled. Chicken butt?
No, said Teddy. Im not bone-brained! He stalked off, his tail high in the air.
I never knew I could be tortured to insanity by such a small dog like Teddy, I thought miserably.
Cant he at least tell what he is doing? Or is he as completely bone-brained as he said he
wasnt?

I am Sherman. Hello. I have three owners as most dogs have one or two. The two youngest
only stay with me for a little while, but the big one always stays with me. No escape. But I kinda
like him.
Teddy is my brother. My owner and the youngest adore me. I dont have a lot to do with the
middle-aged one, however. All I have to do with her is food.

I nodded to Sherman playfully and appreciatively.
The dog just stumbled up the stairs, panting like a doggie maniac. His collar was pressed
against his neck, and when they let go you could see a mark. Tiny, I pointed out.

Sherman cocked his head, gleam of trouble in his eyes. He bowed down and woofed
playfully, and I did the same. The tensity was to resume.
I padded to my crate and took a seat. It had been a long day, and the friendship I knew I
held with Sherman was finally revealed to the older dogs eyes. We were friends-only, we
were friend who we pretended we were not. Now, surviving eight to nine hours cooped up
in a house with that boring machine finally made it sound fun-a little.
.
I got up, the strong scent of Hind-stander fresh in the air. They were creeping out. Sherman
must want to see them. I went to wake him up.
Where was he?
He was not in his crate. He was not in the bathroom. (I had figured that out after I checked)
I padded down the hall. He lay, motionless, with sleep, his eyes closed.
Sherman, I whispered. Sherman, wake up. Its Petter and Half-feeder.
I was alarmed when Sherman did not open his eyes. He just kept on breathing
rhythmically.
He must be tired, I thought. After all, yesterday was long. Sherman is also lazy.
But no. Even when the crash of doors echoed through the hall Sherman did not get up. He
just lay there, breathing rhythmically.
Petter knelt down beside me and I moved away. Sherman, be safe, I thought.
Something struck me. I wishing towards Sherman, not against him! But, I reasoned with
myself, if he dies, who will I be left with when the Hind-standers leave me alone?
Nodog, I told myself quietly and sadly. Tears welled in my eyes as I cried on the dog. And
old friend, I realized. An old friend.
Teddy, it was Petter, gently scooping me up. I barked and she put me down. I began
licking Shermans fur. Had the stranger killed him? No, it just couldnt happen. Though I
always knew Sherman would die first, unless I got sick and died.
Tears also welled up in Petters eyes, that trickled down her face and dripped from her
nose. Also by the fact she was petting me vigorously gave it away.
Teddy, she whispered. Im so sorry.
An itch crawled up my spine and I pressed myself against Petter to calm it. Petter.

It was Half-feeder. Her eyes were also crying.

OK, agreed Petter. We will see to morning.
Half-feeder nodded sympathetically and I fell and lay. Sadness was tearing at my body,
clawing my mind with guilt and sadness and clouding my eyes. Before I knew it, I was
asleep.

CRASH!
Owner.
I padded over to Sherman protectively, but he didnt noticed.
Owner roared something.
Then, a miracleShermans eyelids fluttered and remained closed. Then

there to get the strawberry of her nose?
I am a licker. Its a natural thing in the dogs. Some are born with the temptation, some are not.
But I must say, licking was with me since I left my mothers belly.
I am choosing DA_FACE because he shares my temptation of licking. Sherman doesnt have it,
but DA_FACE does.
