Transformational Leadership
Malala, Walt Disney, and Steve Job are having things in common, which is the
traits of becoming a leader. They were one just a person but because one thing that
they did, today they could become a great person. Leader needs to lead and persuade
everyone to achieve their goals with the basis of their vision and mission.
Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan. As a child,
she became an advocate for girls' education, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a
death threat against her. (Malala Yousafzai: Biography Feb. 2016.). Malala used to be
a normal girl until the Taliban shots her because she refused to obey the rules. Her
father was a teacher and builds his own school, and then Malala starts to follow her
father career, she likes to study, read, and practice speaking infront of public.. Her
father was once told a girl from the school to write a diary about life under the Taliban
but her father found out and refused to do it because its too risky, and then Malala
decided to took it as her responsibility. Malala is ambitious compared to girl in the
society, she likes to go to school, and she thinks that girls are supposed to be well
educated but others may not think the same as Malala.
She becomes a public figure, which has a charisma of a leader she changed
peoples perspective by the power of words when she starts to give interview, and the
diary that she wrote about Taliban. She stays humble towards other people, low
profile and still concern about her study even though she gets many awards from her
campaign. After the accident happened she moved to UK with the whole family, she

used to be the smartest kid in her old school but when she moved to UK her grades
are failing but people still treat her the same like a normal student.
The second person is known as the most famous iconic Disney character. Walt
Disney was an American motion-picture and television producer and showman,
famous as a pioneer of cartoon films and as the creator of Disneyland. Disney was an
innovative animator and created the cartoon character Mickey Mouse (Walt Disney:
Biography, Feb 2016.). Walt Disney also known as the man who contributed amazing
thing to the society, he creates an iconic character that could inspire others to become
a great artist. Walt Disney was such a creative person and eager with his career. He
could spend hours to create a sketch, thinking and he would also obsessed with the
character while he was building it which is good because becoming a leader is not
easy, we need to create something that could inspire people and have a positive
influence towards other.
He also listen to everyones opinion about his drawing and he respects every
peoples thoughts. One little known fact about Walt Disney personality traits is that he
was extremely gentle and caring. Many researchers and biographers have termed him
as a workaholic, as a man with only his way or the highway approach and extremely
rigid when it came to his work. But what many dont know is that Walt Disney was
very caring. He cared for his family, friends and people in general. He also cared for
animals. (Walt Disney Personality Traits, HRFnd, 2014.)
The thirds person who is the founder of apple, he has the traits of being a good
leader. Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California.
His unwed biological parents, Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali, put him up
for adoption. Steve Jobs grew up in a neighborhood of engineers working on

electronics. This shaped his interest in the field as he grew up. At age 13, he met one
the most important persons in his (All about Steve Jobs.com, Feb. 2016.)
I think Steve Jobs really passionate with his interest in computer, he could
spend the whole time working and analyzing the circuit boards. He seems passionate
with his career, which is good because if we feel that we are passionate about
something, we want to keep improving and better at it. Steve Jobs never give up on
what he was doing, he feels that he must finished what he started. The most unique
thing about Steve Jobs is he has unbelievable creative imagination with the concept of
innovative and interactive.
He was also extremely passionate and fearless when it came to growing Apple.
Many actions in his career were controversial and at certain points risked the future of
the company. He had an extraordinary ability to push his company and employees to
the limits without going over the edge. (What Personality Traits Made Steve Jobs
Successful?, Entrepreneur, 2013.). Steve Jobs shows that not only people with good
education that could become successful, as long as we stick with our goals and we try
to achieve it thats possible. Steve Jobs also known as a strict person and he wants
everything to work as it should be. I think become a leader needs that kind of
personality to keep everything organize and develop the best quality of work. Even
during his tough time due to his health condition, he still presents himself to a
meeting. He believed that time is limited and we must know what are we prioritizing
to follow our intuition.
Based on three of them, I believe that becoming a leader is full of temptation
but everyone could be a leader if they want to. Three of them are from an ordinary
person, but they have a big dream and they want to achieve it. They put their heart
into it until they get what they want, and now they could inspire other people.
