Descripcin:
SPA 400 is an advanced speaking course conducted ENTIRELY in
the Spanish language. The class is geared towards language
practice through thoughtful discussion of different aspects of
culture in Spanish-speaking countries.

Religious Observance Policy


SUs religious observances policy is at
http://supolicies.syr.edu/emp_ben/religious_observance.htm. For
any accommodation, a student MUST notifybefore the end of
the second week of classeshis/her instructor of any religious
observance date during the semester. For fall and spring
semesters, an online notification process is available through
MySlice/Student Services/Enrollment/My Religious Observances
from the first day of class until the end of the second week of
class. Speak with your instructor about specific accommodations
once you have filled out the online notification form.

Tecnologa:
Students are expected to act with respect at all times, including
towards each other and with the professor. This means that cell
phones, lap tops, and tablets should be stored unless specified by
the professor that they are able to be used. If students do not know
a word, they should not expect to use a translator. Instead, they
should plan to utilize the vocabulary they are familiar with to talk
through a difficult situation.

Presentacin:
Students will be responsible for guiding the discussion on one
country, for which they must present at least 5 artefacts and
guiding questions for the class to discuss.

Opcional:


Students may elect to set up a weekly food schedule, in which students and the
professor take turns bringing in food.

country (students who are presenting should plan on being able to talk with their
partner while they present).
