    Pichler.Between1961and1963,thesculptoranddesignerworkingincollaborationwiththearchitect
    HansHollein,anddrawingonconversationswithRaimundAbrahamandFriedrichAchleitner,
    introducedaradicallyadventurousnewplasticitytoarchitecture,puttingforwardimaginary
    prototypesinwhichcitiesmightbeburiedundergroundassingleunitsordispersedascontinuous
    sculpturaltopographiesinthelandscapewhosedwellingsmightconsistofcommunicationcells,
    emotivecavesorwatchtowersandwheresacredspaceswouldbeconstructedfromtheinterstices
    betweencollidingmonumentalforms.
