Introduction
People shouldnt be able to buy guns anywhere. Gun violence is a
devastating problem in America today. In this article, I will examine the
facts about gun violence, a story from Rasia Kephra, a teen whose friend
was shot and killed by an unlicensed gun, and more! Your opinion might
change while reading this, so be prepared to read the cold, hard facts.
People arent the problem, guns are

Facts-

Have you ever considered the fact that guns are just a small factor in
murder cases? There are less deaths by guns than a lot of things, such as
tobacco and even non-firearm deaths by comparison. The real problem could
be people.
Sure, it can be the gun, but think about the people in the army who protect
us daily with guns. They are strong-willed people who have chosen to do
good with guns. Now, think about the fact that guns are getting more
customizable.
This means that a pistol can almost be an
SMG- Sub-Machine Gun
. Now,
there is also the fact that people can use guns at long ranges to
assassinate people. Maybe you should keep an open mind until you read the
last sentence in this newsletter.

What people have done to protest, and extremes

In November 2013, Pro- Gun Activists were Fantasizing about assassinating
the president. Insurrectionism is the notion that the Second Amendment
protects an individual
right to shoot and kill elected officials, law

enforcement officers, and military service members when one personally

senses tyranny. So, basically, according to these people, you could go and
assassinate the president. This wasnt enough to them. They then Stalked
a Group of representatives from Moms Demand Gun Sense for America
(MDA) less than a week later. They stood outside the restaurant that they
were meeting in with three other women, heavily armed with shotguns and
assault rifles. According to the woman who organized the whole meeting,
she was Terrified. They claimed it to be a Peaceful Assembly, and there
is abundant evidence online that it was. People clearly need to calm down
about their rights regarding guns.

Gun violence and gun control are different in many ways. Gun
violence is when someone uses a gun to hurt someone else. Gun
Control is making a law so that guns are illegal or specific guns are.
Another difference is that in gun violence, people believe that certain
guns are stronger than others. The reality is that any gun can be
strong at a certain point. A pistol is stronger than a rifle inside a
house. One similarity is that in both, people view guns as the problem,
when it is people. Another is that people have split views on each one.
Pro- Gun activists think that gun control should be stopped, and
anti-gun activists think that gun control will stop gun violence. As

shown here the differences are strong, but so are the similarities.

Gun violence was a problem because the gun laws were not very strict.
Therefore, people have gone to gun shows and bought guns so that
they can shoot other people. Now, even though all people are not
looking to get a gun to murder someone, the background checks at gun
shows are still Way too shallow, and most people dont even get a
background check. As a result of this, gun control was put into place.

As a result, many Americans have protested, especially by using their

open carry licenses so that they can protest anti-gun activists by
watching them while holding their guns. So, isnt it clear? The
background checks are loopholes for people to get guns without a
check.

Activist Story

Rasia Kephra was a typical Chicago teen. He had just graduated from
King College prep high school, so as most would, felt accomplished.
Earlier, he was in a soccer camp at the same time as a girl named
Hadiya Pendleton. His camp would end a little earlier than her soccer
camp, so while he would be waiting to get picked up, she would come
and talk to him. Then a friendship appeared. They grew closer, as they

would talk to and text each other after school. But the friendship
would not last long. On January 19, 2013, after taking her finals,
Hadiya was fatally shot in the back. The cause of her death was when
gunman thought that she and her friends were in a rival gang. This
means that the gunman shot someone without even knowing who they
were. The man, Michael Ward, has been charged with First degree
murder, attempted murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and has
been criminally charged over 5 times before. In conclusion, gun laws
need to be more strict, and background checks should be more in
depth.

Ways the Laws Can be Broken

The effects of people getting guns without background checks are
significant because a gangster can go to a gun show and buy a gun
such as the Glock 17. If semi auto pistols are allowed in your country,

you are fine, but some people buy a G17 and turn it into a Glock 18.
The G18 is a full- auto pistol that is compatible with all 9mm
magazines. This means that you could have turned a semi auto, legal
gun into a 100 round full auto weapon. Because of these outcomes, it is
important that we tighten up laws, but not ban guns, and also have
more background checks. Another solution could be making it so that
you cannot buy a G18 slide, so that you cant change from semi to full
auto.

Conclusion

Ultimately, I have learned that there are many factors besides guns in
murder. I think that there should be tighter laws and people should
need a license to buy guns. The people are the main problem, but gns
are, too. So, what is your opinion? Do you promote guns or not? There
are many ideas that you just read about to consider, such as the story
of Rasia Kephra, whose best friend was shot, or even the way that you
can turn semi auto pistols into full auto pistols. There also is the fact
that gun violence is very different from gun control.
