The fire was put out quickly. It was in an empty lot. Fortunately, it did not spread.
Read the paragraphs. Write the correct pronouns above the underlined words.
The firefighters are visiting our school today. The firefighters are bringing one of their
big trucks. The truck has a tall ladder on the truck. Jamal says Jamal would like to climb
the ladder. Dora will, too, if Dora gets the chance. Jamal and Dora both like high places.
Trang and I have decided that Trang and I are not like Jamal and Dora. Trang and I like
to stay on the ground!
The firefighters discuss fire safety. The firefighters asked Jamal, Dora, Trang, and me
some questions. Jamal is always the first to answer. Fire safety is important to Jamal. There
was a fire in the apartment building where Jamal lives. The fire started in the kitchen of a
neighbor, Mrs. Chan. Mrs. Chan had some papers too close to the stove. The papers caught
fire. Everyone got out safely, including Mrs. Chan. Now Jamal is an expert on fire safety.
Jamal told Dora, Trang, and me that Dora, Trang, and I should be, too!
