This study was completed to investigate if there was a difference in


performance of traditional and non-traditional undergraduate in an
English class at Oklahoma State University.

Literature Review

There are a variety of different students in college class rooms today

This is not a new thing. Understanding the difference between the


different types of college and university students that make up classes
at all institutions

Enrollment trends

The needs of different types of students

The reason for the return of older students

The attitude of the different types of students towards each other

More Research is required

21 Students from an English Class at Oklahoma State University

-6 non-traditional students
-15 traditional students

Ages 22-53 years old

Teacher-made assessments

There was no significant difference between the test score

89% for non-traditional students and 86% for traditional students
