What does the tool do?
Padlet is an application that allows for students to post their thoughts
through images, videos or text through a domain accessible only to the
school. It works like an online whiteboard where students can
collaborate and share ideas.
How can this be used in education?
Padlet is great tool when working in groups or as a class when asked to
share your own ideas on any given topic. It is a quick and efficient way to
hear all ideas while simultaneously using the tool as a note taker for
future references.
Perhaps more appropriate for the upper grade levels, Padlet would be a
great tool for working with groups outside of school, as it can be used
from any device. This would make communication and the presentation
of ideas between group members much easier.
How can this tool reduce or remove barriers for certain learners?
In relation to how Padlet can be used in education, the tool would also
work great in removing a barrier many experience in the classroom.
Students who would normally be too shy to share their thoughts and
ideas can easily do so through this tool.
