TECHNICAL ASPECT

I.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
After determining the market size and area, service demand and growth, the
potential and technical feasibility of the study must be analyzed. This stage deals with the
equipments and services that will be needed in order to satisfy the market. The
researchers estimate the total project cost and enumerate the major items of capital cost.
The estimated cost of the project should be reasonably low as much as possible in order
to regain the starting capital as soon as possible. The objectives of the technical aspect is
to determine to what extent the project meets the technical soundness criteria, to illustrate
the business size and lay out of the business and to determine the necessary equipments
to be used in the operation of the business.

ENVI Body Massage and Spa is engaged in body massage and spa services in
Marulas, Valenzuela City. It will operate from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Mondays to Sundays
to accommodate the demands of the customers.

Figure 24 shows the operational flow of the business. It starts when a customer comes
in. The assigned officer of the day will greet and assist the customer to log in on the log
book and choose the service that the customer will avail. After logging in, the customer
will relax for some time. Then, the therapist will assist the customer and bring the latter
to the massage room to avail of the availed massage or spa service. The therapist will
provide refreshments for the customer. After finishing the massage, the customer will go
back to the assigned cashier to pay and log out in the log book.

A. Electricity

Electricity is one of the primary requirements of spa, or any other kind of

business. ENVI Body Massage and Spa needs electricity for the proper and smooth
process of its business, specificallytoentertain customers with the use of music and
television while the customer is waiting for their turn. Also, to set the atmosphere of the
spa by having proper lightning and ambiance. Electricity will be provided by Manila
Electric Company (MERALCO).
B. Water Supply
ENVI Body Massage and Spa needs an adequate water supply for the use of
customer to take a shower after the massage or spa.Water is also needed in order to
perform the duty and task of the employees such as cleaning the equipment, mirrors and
mopping the floors. Water supply is provided by MAYNILAD.
C. Telecommunication
Telecommunication is the exchange of information over significant distances by
electronic means. ENVI Body Massage and Spa needs telecommunication in order to

convey information, for having a fast transaction pertaining to the customers feedback,
complain,suggestion, recommendation and reservation. Telecommunication will be
provided by Philippine Long Distance Telecommunication (PLDT).

VIII. WASTE MANAGEMENT DISPOSAL

The priority of the business owners are the customers. The management would
like to maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility. The employees of ENVI Body
Massage and Spa are needed to comply with the set of standards in cleanliness
specifically with the proper disposal of waste. ENVI Body Massage and Spa provides
three (3) trash bins in the reception area, waiting area and in the office with cover and
proper label for segregation. The garbage will be collected per day by the garbage
collector in the community. This kind of system will be continually observed in the
business day to day operation.

Technical aspect discusses the services and equipment needed in the operation of
the business to satisfy the market. It will operate from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Mondays to
