In my city, there is a group or team that was created by California State University of North Ridge. It is called Domestic
Violence Advocacy and Counseling (DVAC) by the Family Justice Center. This group provides a 24-Hr line of support. Not everyone
that experiences violence in their lives whether domestic, verbal, physical, and rape will have someone to talk to. A feeling of
loneliness and fear are two definite emotions that someone will feel. This group provides a quick service to allow anyone that has
recently experience such violence to talk to. Although it is not a face to face, it is a a dependable source. This source provides
more information on what you can do to prevent such occurrences.
