Logistics is the management of flow of resources, not only goods, between the point of origin and the point of
consumption in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations. Logistics involves the
integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, packaging, and often
security. Today the complexity of production logistics can be modeled, analyzed, visualized and optimized by

multiple carriers via air, marine, rail or highway. The importance of freight forwarding for global trade was
recognized in Canada in 1948 with the establishment of the Canadian international freight forwarders

navigate the regulations of freight forwarding is integral to ensuring the successful shipment and delivery of
goods. This is done by a freight forwarder.
