III. AGELIMIT

candidates)inidentified(*)markeddisciplines.

v) 5yearsforservingCentralCivilianGovt.employeesworkinginpostswhich
are in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship could be
established that the service already rendered in a particular post will be
useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the advertised posts.

IV. NATIONALITY
OnlyIndiannationalsneedapply
V. How to Apply: Online registration on RAC website (http://rac.gov.in/) is
mandatory.
i) Candidates are required to submit their applications online alongwith
legibleandlighterfilecontainingscannedcopiesofcertificatesforessential
and higher educational qualification alongwith percentage of marks (duly
supported by the marksheets), experience claimed if any in the column
pertaining to employment history of online application, a recent passport
sizecolour photograph (sizenotexceeding30 KB;resolutionof 110x140
pixels) and the details of required application fees through RAC website.
Themaximumfilesizeofeachattachmentshouldnotexceed500KBandit
mustbelegiblewhenaprintoutistaken.
ii) All candidates, whether in Govt. service or in Govt. owned organisations,
shouldalsosubmittheirapplicationsonlinedirectlytotheRecruitmentand
Assessment Centre (RAC) and such candidates are required to upload a
signeddeclaration(aspertheproformaavailableatRACwebsite)thatthey
haveinformedtheirCadreControllingAuthority(CCA)inwriting,thatthey
have applied for the post in DRDO/ADA. However, such candidates, if in
regularservicewhetherinpermanentortemporarycapacity,arerequired
to produce a No Objection Certificate(NOC) from their CCA as per the
proformaavailableatRACwebsiteatthetimeofinterview,inadditionto
the aforesaid declaration. If CCA considers withholding the NOC, the
candidateshouldinformRACwithin30daysoftheclosingdate.
iii) Candidates are advised to retain a copy of the online recruitment
application (pdf) alongwith acknowledge slip generated after locking of
onlineapplicationform.
iv) Application completed in all respect will only be considered as locked
application and only such applications shall be considered for further
processing.

VI. SELFATTESTEDCOPIESOFDOCUMENTSTOBEATTACHEDONLINE
i) Certificates/testimonials regarding qualifications alongwith marksheets,
caste, exservicemen, employment etc. The maximum file size of each
attachment should not exceed 500KB and it must be legible when a print
outistaken.Forthat,theapplicantmayscanthecertificates/testimonials
in200dpigreyscale.
ii) Valid GATE score card (GATE 2015/2016). (Only for Subject/Disciplines in
PartI)
iii) Thecandidates,whetherinGovt.ServiceorinGovt.ownedorganisations,
should also submit their applications online directly to the Recruitment &
AssessmentCentre(RAC).Suchcandidatesarerequiredtouploadasigned
declaration(aspertheproformaavailableatRACwebsite)thattheyhave
informedtheirCadreControllingAuthority(CCA)inwritingthattheyhave
appliedforthepostinDRDO/ADA.

VII. FEES&MODEOFPAYMENT
General/OBCcandidatesarerequiredtopayanonrefundablenontransferable
application fees of Rs.100/ (Rs. Hundred only) payable online only. However
thereisnoapplicationfeesforSC/ST/PWDandwomencandidates.

VIII. SCREENING/SHORTLISTING
i) ForSubjects/DisciplinesinPartI
Eligiblecandidateswillbeshortlistedforfurtherselectionprocessonthe
basisofvalidGATEscoreofGATE2015/2016,intheratioof1:5subjectto
theiravailabilityinorderofthedisciplinewisecategorywisemeritlist.
Candidatesappearinginthefinalexaminationofqualifyingdegreemayalso
apply. However, if selected, the appointment of such candidates will be
subject to availability of their final result of qualifying degree in first class
onorbefore10August2016.
TheGATEpaperandthesubjectofqualifyingdegreemustberelatedtothe
Subject/Disciplinesagainstwhichthecandidateisapplying.
ii) ForSubject/DisciplinesinPartII
Eligiblecandidateswillbeshortlistedforfurtherselectionprocessonthe
basisofpercentageofmarksobtainedinEssentialQualification,inorder
of the discipline wise category wise merit list. The number of candidates
subject to their availability in the following ratio will be shortlisted for
furtherselectionprocess:

RACwebsite.

IX. SELECTIONPROCESS
i) The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the personal
interview to be held at Delhi/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Pune or any other
place as decided by RAC/ DRDO from May 2016 onwards tentatively.
Shortlistedcandidatesshallbeabletodownloadtheirinterviewcallletter
along with date/ venue of personal interview and other relevant
documentsthroughthecandidatelogin.
ii) CandidatesservinginGovt.ServiceorinGovt.ownedorganisationswillbe
requiredtoproduceNOCfromtheirrespectiveDepartment/Employerat
thetimeofinterviewfailingwhichcandidatewillnotbeallowedtoappear
fortheinterview.
iii) SelectionCriteria
a) ForSubjects/DisciplinesinPartI
Thefinalselectionofthecandidateswillbepurelyonthebasisofdiscipline
wisecategorywisemeritofaggregateof,80%weightagetoGATEscoreand
20%weightagetomarksinpersonalinterview.
For consideration for selection, a candidate has to secure minimum
qualifying marks of 70% for General candidates and 60% for
OBC/SC/ST/PWDcandidatesinPersonalInterview.
b) ForSubjects/DisciplinesinPartII
Thefinalselectionofthecandidateswillbepurelyonthebasisofdiscipline
wisecategorywisemeritofmarksinpersonalinterview.
For consideration for selection, a candidate has to secure minimum
qualifying marks of 70% for General candidates and 60% for
OBC/SC/ST/PWDcandidatesinPersonalInterview.
iv) In addition to the above, any other selection tool/tests may be
administered,atthesolediscretionofthemanagement.
v) The offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be restricted to
thenumberofvacanciesinorderofmerit.Theappointment,however,will
be subject to satisfying conditions like qualifying the Medical examination
prescribedforGroupATechnicalpostsofGovt.ofIndiawithFieldService
Liability and verification of character antecedents besides verification of
SC/ST/OBC/PWD(HH/OH)certificateetc,ifapplicable.
vi) Information regarding the selected candidates will be made available at
RACwebsite.

X. TRAINING
All selected Scientists B for DRDO may be required to initially undergo Post
InductionTraining.

XIII. GENERALINSTRUCTIONS
i) Those applications which are not locked by the candidates in accordance
