Re:
Proposed Student Attendance Zone Plan for 2016-2017
In accordance with an agreement reached with the United States Department of Justice and the
Plaintiffs, as represented by the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Judge U.W. Clemon, I
am releasing for public review a final proposed Student Attendance Zone Plan for Hoover City students
for the 2016-2017 school year.
At the meeting of the Hoover Board of Education scheduled for 5:30 p.m., March 7, 2016, I will
recommend that the Board approve this Plan. The Board will consider the Plan, together with public
comment, before deciding whether to approve the Plan as presented.
If the Plan is approved by the Board, the Plan will be presented to the United States Federal Judge
Madeline Haikala for her review and consideration.
