W: My year as an Assistant
Student Leadership
Coordinator (ASLC) at UC
Santa Barbara allowed me to
serve an advisor for the
Residence Hall Association.
Through this role I was able
to advise 45+ elected and
appointed student leaders
tasked with the responsibility
of carrying forth the pillars of
RHA, which were advocacy,
programming, and funding.
W: As a Resident Assistant I
was able to serve in advising
role for my residents in
academics, personal, and
professional goals. I was able
to do this in programs and
one on one interactions.

halls. Through this I lead
seminars on various forms of
oppression and engaged my
students in the ability to think
critically and engage in
difficult conversations with
their peers.
The Equity,
Diversity, and
Inclusion (EDI)
competency area
includes the
knowledge,
skills, and attitudes
needed to create
learning
environments that are
enriched with diverse
views and people. It
is also designed to
create an institutional
ethos that accepts
and celebrates
differences among
people, helping to
free them of any
misconceptions

training. I have no official
conduct hearing experience.

opportunity to have a seminar
