Topic: Healthy and Unhealthy Foods
Objectives:
At the end of 2 weeks lesson the students, must have:
a. Solved the puzzle picture of healthy and unhealthy body puzzle by
dragging the mouse with teachers assistance.
b. Identified healthy and unhealthy foods by making their own
storyboard out of the photos they captured
c. Captured photos of healthy and unhealthy food and put it in a
powerpoint presentation with the guidance of parents and teacher.
d. Participated in every class discussion by getting involved in every
activity.
e. Valued the importance of eating healthy through the moral lesson
in the digital story.

IV.

Procedure

Week #1
Gaining Background Knowledge on the healthy and unhealthy foods
Day1
Introduce the unit by posing the Essential Question to students, What makes our body
healthy? What are the healthy foods? Why do we need to eat vegetables and fruits? It will
give the students a glimpse of what is the lesson is all about, they will answer this question
through oral participation and then show The Healthy Me powerpoint presentation to
gauge students prior knowledge of what are the healthy and unhealthy foods. Start with a
KWL chart on the Healthy Me. Then discuss the effects of it to the human body. Activity
sheets will be given after the discussion
Day2
Exercise is also beneficial for a healthy body. The next day will be the Exercise day for the
students which they will be grade through their participation and active involvement in
following the routines. The teacher will also give the timeline of activities for the rest of 2
weeks. The performance of the students will be recorded in an anecdotal note.
Day3
The activity for this day will be The Digital Storytelling Day wherein the students are
going to watch and listen to a story of Jenny and the magic fridge. There will be a
corresponding activity after the storytelling.
Day 4
This will be the time to introduce the proper using of computer which includes the dragging
of the mouse and later will be short introduction about how to use a PowerPoint
presentation.
Day5
Giving of guidelines on their project about making their own storyboard but prior to that will
be the showing of example project. Giving of assignment on capturing healthy and
unhealthy foods
Week #2
Digital storyboard making & Explore Unit and Content Questions

Day 6-8

Collecting of photos and making project step by step.
