o Homelessness Education and Advocacy Training: Explored
the issue of homelessness through seminars, visits to
homeless shelters and service to the homeless
Costa Rica (January 16 - 21, 2014)
o Environmental education: Learned about the environment
and best practices in sustainability through lessons at a
sustainable school, a local farm, and an indigenous tribe
Little Rock Arkansas (November 10 - 14, 2012)
o Poverty Simulation, Heifer International Ranch: Randomly
assigned to a segment of society, with specific food and
resource rations to be shared among the group or traded
across groups. Stayed in a mock village where we cooked
and traded for materials for two nights. Learned about
each groups culture and constraints due to poverty.
SCHOOL LEADERSHIP

Key Club: 2014- Present


Academic year: 3-6 hours per week
o Key Club founding member (2013-2014 school year)
o Officer (2014- Present): Recruit new members, manage
social media, organize and run meetings, research and find
volunteer opportunities.

National Honors Society


Academic year: 2-4 hours per week
o Applied October 2014, Selected December 2014.
o Requirements to remain a member include 30 hours of
community service per academic year and passing grades
in all classes.

AWARDS AND HONORS

Academic All District Award: 2013-2014, 2015-2016


o Award given to athletes who maintain a grade point
average above a 92 during the sports season
o Received award for Austin High Swim and Golf Teams.
