Introduction
A. Purpose
a. Measure teachers readiness to teach their subject

pedagogy

i. Your learning segment should include learning tasks in which students
have opportunities to develop an essential literacy strategy for
comprehending or composing text and the related skills that directly
support that strategy

Planning Task 1: Planning for Instruction and Assessment

d. How learning segment deepens content understanding

a. Select a class
b. Provide context information (context for learning)
c. Create 3-5 lesson plans
d. Identify a central focus for the learning segment
i. Should include an essential literacy strategy
ii. Related skills

e. Write your lesson plans making sure you have all the required parts
