4.a] How angle impedance relay is realized using static comparators?

b] How reactance relay characteristics are realized using sampling comparator.

5.a] Explain the characteristics of a relay whose characteristics changes with change
of line impedance.
b] Explain earth fault compensation for correct distance measurement.

6. Draw the schematic diagram of phase comparison carrier current protection, and
explain its operation.

7. Explain discrete Fourier transform technique in digital relaying algorithm.

8. Draw the block diagram of microprocessor based distance relay. Explain its
operation using flow chart.
