Personal Code of Conduct

1. I will understand my role as an educator within the Alberta Education System and do my
best to exceed these expectations.
2. I will understand my program of study and create lesson plans that effectively meet the
general and specific learning outcomes.
3. I will identify each students individual learning styles and needs to help each individual
reach his/her full potential.
4. I will create a safe environment within the classroom for student growth.
5. I will encourage creativity within the classroom to build confidence and to motivate
students to think divergently and innovatively.
6. I will respect the dignity of each student.
7. I will keep up with technology and incorporate technology in ways which will enhance
student learning.
8. I will continually assess each student individually and differentiate my lessons for each
student.
9. I will continually communicate with parents to help achieve a better understanding of
student needs and progress.
10. I will continue to develop myself professionally to improve my teaching methods.
