Should be an aspect of lesson planning; should


not be assigned as an afterthought
Time required to complete the assignment
should be appropriate for grade level; grade
level x 10 mins.
Teacher should provide feedback in a timely
manner; instructive feedback has the greatest

Should be assigned to help foster good learning
and study habits; students learn more with
fewer concepts examined at a deeper level

Nonlingustic Representations/
Graphic Organizers
Effective teachers incorporate the three
styles of learning, visual, auditory, and
kinestetic (whole-body mode), in the
classroom to ensure the success of all
students
When facilitated by the teacher, student
achivevement is strong and there is an
increase in student brain activity during the
creation of non-linguistic representations
Information in the imagery format is stored
with the focus on mental pictures or even
physicial sensations , such as smell, taste,
touch, kinesthetic association, and sound
