Crestwood Elementary School- Director of Dance Program
2013-current
Crestwood Dance Team- I began a free after-school program in a downtown low socio-economic
area in Clark County School District. The program includes a partnership with the Nevada Ballet
Theatre, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Three Square Meals. Two days a week about 55 children
get free meals, and 1 hour of ballet instruction. Select students remain for 1 hour of ballroom dance
instruction. Students partake in field trips to see various dance performances throughout the year,
perform for their family at an end-of-year showcase, and compete at the annual Desert Challenge at
University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Peers Advocating Antiviolence Education (P.A.V.E.)- Member

Men Rebelling Against Violence (4/2010)- As a member of P.A.V.E. I aided in the preparation of
the Men Rebelling Against Violence campus event.

Relay For Life: Team Cancer Sux (5/14/2010) Raised money for cancer survivors. Participated
in an all-night walk of remembrance and celebration for survivors.

Can Food Drive (12/2009)- As a staff member I aided in the collection of canned food and donated
it to the UNLV food pantry.
Toy Drive (12/2009)- As a staff member I aided in the collection of canned food and donated it to a
student organization that helps neighborhood children receive toys for the holidays.
Future Educators of America-Club President
2008-2009
Book Drive (02/2009): Donated the new books to the Children at Sunrise Hospital and spent the
evening reading to them.
A Kiss for the New Year (01/2009): Revisited Charleston Retirement Facility. We made them a
chocolate kiss firework and had a social hour.
Adopt a Family Holiday Project (12/2008): Adopted the Giovani Family of 6. Did a donation drive.
Personally delivered boxes and boxes of food, clothes, and toys to the family.
Spook-Tacular (10/2008): Community trick-or-treating. A safe place for the neighborhood
children to trick or treat, carve pumpkins, and play games.
Comfort Blankets for CSRR & ALF (08/2008): Made 210 blankets for the Charleston Retirement
Facility, Spent the evening giving them the blankets, and having a social hour where we played bingo.
