As an aspiring high school math teacher, I am very interested in the role of Paraprofessional at
Kelly Independent School Districts. I have two years of experience in various educational
settings and am very excited to share my skills with children.
I find myself drawn to any experience related to children. I am accustomed to basic childcare
skills through over seven years of babysitting and providing childcare at community events. I
also worked as a math instructor at Mathnasium. This company provides math instruction for
grade level students through a team teaching process and each student is given work based on
their personal needs. I was exposed to students ranging from second through twelfth grade and I
am comfortable assisting with any age group.
I have completed almost two years in an internship in a second grade classroom with Virginia
Beach City Public Schools. I most enjoy working with students in small groups and one-on-one
reading activities. I have developed many techniques to discipline a class and I firmly believe in
positive reinforcement of good behavior. I also have experience with language assistance, as I
have worked with a student from Turkey on her English reading abilities. In addition to ESL
students, I have experience with Gifted, Special Education, and IEP students.
As a math inclined person, I am detail oriented and very organized. I am willing to assist in any
teaching activity, including writing lesson plans and grading work. I am a hard worker and will
be very excited to bring my skills to Kelly Independent Schools Districts. I look forward to
